It was perfect for our weekend getaway with family. We were 4 couples, and loved that this property offers nice and comfortable accomodation for couples, king and queen beds, with enough bathrooms instead of a lot of twin or bunk beds. The cabin was as described. We had 9 guests and were all very comfortable. Communication with the hosts was five star. While we mainly eat out on vacations the kitchen was well equipped. The screened in patio was great as well as the hot tub. The location was very quiet but close to town. Check in and check out was very smooth. This home was the perfect base for our group. We loved how well laid out the house is and the variety of indoor and outdoor spaces. The fire pit and the hot tub were a big hit and we enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen and eating together at the spacious dining room table. Loved the screened rooms on both levels. We picked WV as we’ve never been but love the mountains. The house was exactly as described, clean, beautifully decorated, and in a quiet location in the mountains but close to town and other activities. We cooked in every night and the kitchen had everything we needed. Katie, our host, was very communicative from the very beginning of the booking and was very responsive during our stay if we had any questions. Every feature was perfect; well thought out to meet any guest's needs. The upper covered and screened porch was the perfect place to relax and feel the breeze. Our nieces, ages 3, 11, and 14, had fun exploring the property, playing the board games and puzzles, and hanging out in all of the comfortable spots around the house. We all cooked delicious meals, enjoyed the local hiking trails, and relaxed on the screened-in porch and around the fire pit. The exterior of the house is stunning and it is tucked away in the woods for maximum privacy. We were greeted with ingredients for s’mores which the kids loved! Everything was clean, organized, and decorated in such a calm, soothing manner. We were shocked when even the kids slept in! The beds were just so cozy. The house is laid out so perfectly for a big group with multiple gathering areas, the bedroom to bathroom ratio is key for adults traveling together and the Christmas decorations added a great homey touch. The house is tucked up away from town in the woods so it had a peacefulness that was just soothing. We cooked in nearly every night and the kitchen is well stocked, we played games (we brought our own though they have quite a few) and watched some of the many DVD movies available. We did the few “can’t miss” things in town and agree you can’t or shouldn’t miss those. It was a nice place to retreat together and unwind. Thank you Katie and Jimmy! ##### Lib N. I recently booked this beautiful home for a long weekend with my family. The house was the perfect size for all of us - 4 bedrooms for 8 adults, and then a murphy bed + huge couch downstairs for the kiddos. Plenty of space for everyone to sprawl out and relax in front of the gas fireplaces. Located in a nice spot in the woods, great for long walks/hikes. Conveniently located just a short drive from town, and just a mile from both a brewery and a winery! Katie could not have been a more gracious host, patiently answering my calls at 8pm when I couldn't figure out the door code and wifi situation. She even provided a nice list of things to-do around town, places to eat, etc. 10/10 would recommend staying here! ##### Tina H. Very clean. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped, and the outdoor grill was very clean. Everything about the stay was great. We used the community pool once, and then discovered Cacapon State Park. We went to the lake every day. Beautiful sand beach and lake floor, picnic tables, lots of shade. Lake was great for the kids. We all had a great time and highly recommend this wonderful property. The bumper pool kept the teens happy. Although there was no high speed internet, we all survived using the regular Verizon connection. It was actually faster than the house's internet. Father, son and grandson thoroughly enjoyed a round of golf at Cacapon. That course is a gem and it is how we found this area 30+years ago. We spent most of our time living in the treetops on the screened porch. Truly relaxing and refreshing. the kitchens appliances are top notch and we ate well. A very enjoyable stay. ##### Sue P. Our party consisted of my husband and I, our college aged daughter and her boyfriend and our two ten year old twins. We also had our dog with us, who had an equally awesome time! The community is so spread out, you hardly notice you have neighbors. There are gorgeous treetop views from every room - you feel like you are in a tree house. The layout of the home was perfect, the fireplaces were so nice and cozy and the kitchen was a dream to cook in. The decks were our favorite place to be. The firepit was perfect - it felt like we were in our own little world whether we were inside or outside. So peaceful! We all slept great for the three nights of our stay which is pretty crazy with our family - normally at least one of us has trouble sleeping somewhere new but not this time. Katie was amazing with communication, and it was a pleasure to work with her on booking the trip and a few things that popped up along the way. We will definitely be back again! The setting was quiet and beautiful. I sat on the screened porch every morning sipping my coffee and drinking in the tranquil beauty of the surroundings. The cabin is very well appointed and was perfect for our group of 7\. Our grown children and their partners had their own space and my elderly mom had her own room too. We grilled out and enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after hiking in the state and national parks and touring Gettysburg and Washington DC. Katie was a wonderful hostess and excellent communicator. The cabin was very clean and the fun board games and DVDs made our one rainy day perfect. I enjoyed disconnecting from our busy lives for a week. For those worried about access, our Verizon phones worked great using cellular data. Berkeley Springs is an adorable little town. The Springs are interesting and lunch at the Country Inn is great. We enjoyed hiking at Cacapon State Park, coffee at the Fairfax, Mystical Pizza and don’t miss a trip to Pap’s for some of the best ice cream concoctions we have ever enjoyed. We also hiked at Shenandoah NP and Catoctin NP. Both easy and enjoyable parks. The park rangers and everyone we encountered were delightful. We definitely would love to visit again. ##### Conny M.
