The home was clean upon arrival. Location is perfect for getting away from traffic. Hot tub, covered porch, and fire pit are wonderful. Hosts are very kind and respond quickly.
My family and I had a great stay. The location is great, rural enough to be visited by a host of deer and close enough for a quick trip into town for supplies. The property owners were very nice and friendly, contact with them was very easy. The property was very clean and welcoming. I would highly recommend this property.
It was an excellent cabin to spend Christmas with my family. Tony was also very kind and responsible at all times. We will definitely return on another occasion. I recommend it. It is a very quiet, beautiful and very clean place to visit.
Perfect location for 3 friends who wanted to relax and get away. The property was well stocked, there were plenty of towels, the wood stove was perfect, and we really enjoyed the hot tub! Easy check in and great communication. A bit off the beaten path, but that suited us.
We enjoyed the hot tub on the cool fall night! The large yard and trees made it so relaxing. Although we were initially disappointed because the hot tub water looked really cloudy, someone came by and refreshed it for us as soon as we got there!
Indoor space was very roomy and comfortable. The deck was a little cluttered with no outdoor chairs but we ended up spending our evenings around the fire pit which surprised us that we enjoyed it so much. The location was beautiful and not as isolated as we thought it would be. Our host was wonderful!
We stayed for Thanksgiving weekend and the cabin was a fun getaway. The hot tub was great even though it was only 25 degrees outside. The house never really felt warm but the wood stove would have heated it right up if we had wanted to deal with that. My only real complaint is that it was really dusty - the ceiling fans, the lamps, etc. Oh and the stairs are kind of death stairs, so be careful on those!
We stayed with our dog for my husband’s 50th birthday celebration. I found the chalet to be comfortable and peaceful. Beds were comfortable.
My only suggestion would be to upgrade the kitchen a bit. The stove and oven were difficult and very small to use. Kitchen cooking materials look like they need some updating ,because the pans and utensils were scratched and damaged. No pot for spaghetti or any serving bowls. Only left us one coffee filter.
Hot tub was relaxing but needed more chlorine.
Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the home and property. We saw some deer and liked walking around the property.
All in all a good place to stay at a fair price.
The location was great. It was nice to look out the window in the morning and see the sun rising on the hill. We took full advantage of the hot tub and it never let us down; clean and very warm every time.It was peaceful there. We'll definitely consider staying there again. Maybe in the summer or spring sometime. Thank you very much and happy holidays.
Stayed for 3 wonderful nights; great home; great wood stove. Skipped the hot tub but it did look inviting. Tony is a great host- I will be back another time.
Just what we needed! The world is a hectic place right now and we needed just a little respite. We celebrated (2) birthdays and a new job as a family. I can't begin to thank our host for providing a safe, super comfortable, absolutely beautiful mini-vacation home. The communication from our host was like a conversation with a friend. The ease of the reservation process, and the beautifully maintained and prepared property was an oasis from the storms of life. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH for the blessing of more than a place to lay our weary heads!!! (5) stars, (5) diamonds, and many, many hearts. God Bless You.
So relaxing and quiet, just what we needed for a short weekend away

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Photos clearly from many years ago. While the place was what you might expect from a cabin in the woods, it was shabbier and much more run down that the listing would have you believe. Spent the weekend with a house full of stink bugs everywhere you looked, carpets and couches had stains, AC units kicked on and off loudly all night, owner stated hot tub specific towels needed to be used then there were none to be found. Not a terrible experience, just not a place we will be rebooking, especially for the price.
This was just what my doctor's ordered. Relaxation!! Place was nice, clean and cool. Although i cooked a lot we still were able to check out the local fare. Definitely recommend Panorama Public House for Dinner and the view was amazing as we watched the sunset. Charlotte's for breakfast is also a must. Plentiful and the caramel pancakes were delicious. The Berkley Castle was interesting also, glad we stopped. Although i was unable to enjoy the hot tub my husband and family did. Definitely a plus. Would have liked a washer and dryer, and more towels. but can't have it all. Looking forward to another stay.
Property was very clean and as described. Bed was comfortable. Hot tub enjoyable. Communication excellent. Keep in mind who will be staying on 2nd floor as stairs are steep & curved section leaves small spot for feet placement. I had one foot skid and go down 4 steps without my other leg. Thankful I exercise regularly or could have been worse. The neighborhood was peaceful and nice to walk in. Fire pit looked great though our weather wasn’t conducive to its use.
Property was clean in a very nice setting. We found everything as promised except a washer and dryer which my spouse thought was included. This wasn’t a problem for us. Unfortunately there was apparently a close by neighbor who allowed their large dog to run, and that animal made some large deposits around our car on one occasion. We heard this neighbor apparently yelling for said dog early one morning. This was an aberration that while a bit annoying, it didn’t distract from our overall enjoyment in staying at this VRBO. Highly recommend staying at Blue Maple.
Overall, the property was nice. It was relatively secluded (though there is what appears to be a new home being built next door). We did not use the woodstove, nor the firepit. The house is cooled with window unit air conditioners, which were a bit noisy, and were not properly sealed in the window, so the bedroom was filled with stink bugs that were coming in around the unit, which we discovered upon going to bed the first night. We spent a great deal of time trying to get rid of them. Once we had that under control, there were no further issues. The house number is marked at the end of the driveway on a tree, but is easy to miss. A larger sign would be useful. The deck, hot tub cover and front steps had not been swept to remove leaves that had fallen, which isnt a big deal, but would have made the initial impression better as it would have looked cleaner, and there was a large tree limb on the roof. The interior was clean and smelled pleasant. The rigerator was not full sized, so a larger family with a longer stay may have to plan smaller grocery runs to wnsure everything fits. The couch was not terribly comfortable, though that is person specific and others may find it to be fine. The house is about 15 minutes from downtown Berkeley Springs (not 7 like it says in the house manual), which is a lovely town with numerous food options (definitely go to Tony's Butcher Block!) Other than the bugs in the bedroom, we have no real complaints and would stay there again.
