"Das Haus ist in den 70ern stehen geblieben. Fast alles war alt, die Terrasse teilweise morsch, alles roch altbacken und muffig, die Matratzen waren uralt. Die Küchenausstattung war übersichtlich - es gab zum Beispiel nur 3 Teelöffel. Das ganze Haus bedarf einer Grundsanierung innen wie außen. Das es anders geht zeigen andere Häuser im Ferienprk Vorauf. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge im Chiemgau ist die Lage sehr gut. Check-in, Sauberkeit und Kommunikation waren in Ordnung."

"Avoid property under this host. They requested a deposit paid before check-in via bank transfer because there wouldn’t b any front desk for check-in. That was fine. And it stated it would do deposit refund 7 days after check-out with no damage reported. I checked out 5th April, so far no one contacted me regarding any damage found. And I have provided my bank account details for refund on 11th April. But they never responded. Today is 21st April already. I have contacted hotels.com and they said...

"The good: incredible mountain view, over the top breakfast and lovely communal areas. We did not use the pool area but looked well maintained. Good walking proximity to the town for eating. The bad: 12% grade hill up to the property. Many people walked it from the train station but they were struggling. We were put in an apartment as we were told we had two options a room with lots of stairs or a three bedroom apartment with fewer stairs. We took the apartment. This is were it gets bad. Carpets are wrinkled and lifting and feel crisp to walk on. Walls are stark white with only one art work in one of the three bedrooms. Furniture very old. Only ceiling lighting and no soft light or lights next to bed. If this apartment is remodeled it could be nice. The bathroom was remodeled but the window doesn't open to the outside. There is a wall behind it. Since I never saw the other room I am not sure if we were downgraded or if they all need renovation."

"GREAT location..however when we were there the city was doing major construction right next to the Hotel and our room was on the first floor on the corner of the two streets where the construction was....they were even jack hammering at 8am on Sunday morning! The hotel should have moved us to a higher floor or another location..we had a suite so it wasn't a matter of needing an upgrade. The staff were average. The room was sparkling clean. Beds very good. They should consider getting room darkening curtains. Never ate there so cannot speak to that."

"The hotel is in a perfect location. Just a short walk from the rail station. The town is beautiful. Reminds me of Florence. The views from the 12th floor were awesome. The clerk was great. She let us in to our room early because it was ready. We were very tired. Only problem was that we opened the blinds and the day was very warm. The AC unit could not cool the room. Had a hard time going to sleep. Had I known the AC could not cool the room, I would have kept the blinds closed. Not sure if it would have made a difference."
