Wonderful House
We were a family group of 10 including a baby and a 4 yo. The house is just as in the pictures, spacious with lots of comfortable seating in different areas and a lovely, although unheated, pool. There is a huge, well equipped kitchen and excellent built in BBQ at the back. All bedrooms had large comfortable beds and 4 en-suites were a bonus. We hardly left the property except for grocery shopping and very much enjoyed the quiet surroundings. Our only niggle was lack of sunshades near the pool which meant baby and mother were unable to join the group. Highly recommend to other large groups.

We loved everything. The house was amazing. The neighborhood was amazing. The pool was so beautiful with the ocean in the background. There is also a beautiful mountain view. We loved that the location was not too far from the airport. It’s easy to walk into town or drive to nearby cities.

Birthday Celebration
Villa Gitanilla was a beautiful property in a quiet neighbourhood. The villa was well equipped and just as pictured on the inside,very clean. Outside areas were great with a beautiful pool area for us all. Emily arranged taxi for us to and from the property from the airport and was there to greet us. We arrived early and were able to change and leave our luggage in the garage before we returned for the 4 o'clock checkin. Restaurants and supermarket under a 10 minute walk, although we did struggle with the hill on the way back. Supermarket great choice and taxis were cheap. We would definitely stay at Villa Gitanilla again if we were to return to Benalmadina. Thank you Alison and family of 6.

Big birthday celebration!
We stayed here on the 3/6/23 for one week The property was as fantastic as the description the bedrooms are all a good size and the kitchen is very modern and well equipped The outside seating/dining area is brilliant. We had one very rainy day and we had great day eating , drinking and playing cards The pool is lovely a great place for sunbathing and cooling off The villa is in a lovely location but just a warning for anyone who struggles walking ( like my wife ) it is on a steep hill which I knew before going but we made use of Uber to get to places which works fantastically well and then taxi back from the seafront or marina Overall a fantastic holiday and villa !!!

We were a family of 11, from a 3 year old to grandparents. The Villa was everything we hoped it would be, absolutely perfect and very well maintained. The salt water pool was brilliant and the kids in particular loved it. Emily was extremely helpful and was very quick to react to any requests we had I would definitely recommend this Villa and Emily to anyone interested.

One week with family May 6-13
We were 10 adult’s ranging from 24-54 years old. We stayed for 1 week at La Gitanilla. The space was perfect for us. It was nice to prepare our own meals and eat in a few evenings. Emily was wonderful to work with and answered many, many of my questions very quickly. We really enjoyed using the pool and sitting out back in the evening. Would definitely stay here again.

Fabulous villa
A superb villa, very large well equipped and clean. Perfect for the family holiday we had with a large group of all ages. Even after a small glitch at the start of the stay (not the owners fault by any means) it was dealt with swiftly and professionally. The pool is amazing and air conditioning was great. Would definitely recommend to all.

Great villa and great location. Built in BBQ not useable but other BBQ provided. Bit disappointed with check out as had to leave villa 10am and pick up wasn't till 3pm for party of 12. Ended up bringing pick up forward so spent 5hours at airport . Not great with young children.

Excellent villa
From start to finish communication was first class. I booked this villa for 9 of us, ages ranging from 20 to 82 years. Everything is made available. The villa was superb and went beyond my expectations. You don't necessarily need a car, although the walk down the hill was alot easier than walking back. Taxis are plentiful and cheap.

My family and I had a great few days celebrating my birthday. The villa is well equipped , beautifully decorated and extremely safe and secure. Location is away from the main town so a hire car is recommended otherwise taxis needed . Issues with the electricity tripping and one shower not able to be used , however the agency were very quick to respond and try to sort. Diane and Dean in particular were excellent. Would thoroughly recommend the villa and company. Thank you

The owners have made every attempt to create a great place to stay and it works very well. It's fabulous. The owners Lise-Lotte and Hans-Kurt were excellent in communication prior to booking and the agents Emily and Di and their team were equally great in ensuring we had everything we needed. The Villa is exactly as described and photographed. It’s very spacious, extremely well equipped and has fabulous outdoor facilities for eating, drinking, and socialising. Inside has been well thought-out to be spacious and homely. Bedrooms are a great size and the kitchen (being the hub) is brilliant. The location is quiet and predominantly residential, classy. Only 10-15mins walk to bars, restaurants, supermarkets and access to beaches. It’s just perfect. Chris Sutton Aug & Sept 2021

Wonderful stay, good location and lovely villa
We were family of 12 in total, 8 adults and 4 children. Different ages 65 thru to 7 yrs. We went to celebrate my husbands 40th. Villa is massive and plenty of space for all. The bbq area and bar space is really great for the evenings. We all loved the pool and playing basketball / table tennis. We had great weather so even though the pool is cold we were still able to use it. There were a few niggly issues on arrival as not all the beds were made up but this was sorted quickly. The little apartment was absolutely fine and is great for someone wishing to have own privacy. Takes about 10-15 mins to beach downhill. We walked it and usually got a cab back, same with the supermarket. Wonderful stay , thanks Hans for info prior to arrival. Hope to return!

Beautiful villa.
A very beautiful and comfortable villa with all the amenities that you could require close by. Unfortunately , due to a family member becoming very ill before our departure, a few changes had to be made to our original booking but Hans ( the owner ) did everything he possibly could do to accommodate us. Villa La Gitanilla Torrequebrada
We had a fantastic stay in this beautiful villa in the last week of August - there were 13 of our family ranging from age 3 to 65 - the villa was beautiful- very rustic and Spanish looking with ample room to accommodate a large party. The kids just loved the pool and the two 4 year olds learnt to swim without arm bands! Being in there from 7.00am most mornings!!! The setting was lovely but a bit of a trek down to the seafront but they all managed it ok and there was a pushchair in the garage for our use. Overall I would highly recommend it for a large family and would definitely love to come back again . Thank you Hans and Diane was a superb host too.

We had a fantastic family holiday, the villa was just right for the 13 of, 4 generations, both inside and out. There was ample room and sunbeds around the lovely clean pool, plenty of shaded area's to cool off and outside dining and chatting, the outside bar and bbq was used plenty. My mum stayed in the annex which was a lovely retreat for her, maybe at some point aircon put in would have proved beneficial. Having read a previous negative review was a little sceptical, but we found everything the opposite, no damp, no musty smells, plenty of bedding, lovely and clean, the management team assisted with transfers, beach towels, accommodating us earlier than arrival time and allowing us to leave our luggage in the garage until our pick up time. So overall we had a perfect time in a beautiful villa and lots of wonderful memories to take home with us. Thank you

A three generation group of 13 people. We had a great stay. The kids lived in the pool!!!
A great 10 day stay. Spent lots of time on site around the pool. A ten minute walk to the beach down a steep hill. Occasionally cheated and got a taxi back up to the villa. Plenty of places to visit. We, in different sized groups went to the marina, the old town, Tivoli World, Mijas and Malaga. The 8 adults had four air conditioned, on suite bedrooms and the children shared the other two. Plenty of equipment at the house. Lots of sun beds, gorgeous sitting out areas. Nice big tables to sit round for group meals. The pool was a major focal point. When we arrived, 2 of our grandchildren were swimmers. When we left we had four confident swimmers. A couple of parasols were promised, but never arrived - a minor thing, but didn’t really spoil things. I booked the villa as I was recovering from major surgery and wanted to have a family holiday with my 3 children and partners and our 5 grandchildren. We had a cracking 10days and would recommend “La Gitanilla “ to any large family group.

Really disappointing week in terms of accuracy of property and the quality of care from the management team. We arrived to find that the property was not a 6 bed property but a four bed villa plus a room with a sofa bed and a curtain. Downstairs by the carpark area there was an annex which was damp, the damp was visible in the bedroom - the smell was so strong that no one was able to sleep in there. The shower in this annex was held up by a wire and the bathroom flooded when used. So basically not usable. This left very few rooms for the 9 of us to sleep. One child (11 years old) had to sleep with her parents as there was no rooms left. There was not enough bedding for everyone and the lighting outside did not work so we highlighted both issues when we arrived, we were assured that more bedding would come but it did not. An electrician came on the third day and advised he needed a part and that he would return - he did not. That night my dad went out to turn a pool light off and tripped over in the garden due to the lack of lighting. He cut his face quiet badly, broke his glasses and bruised himself (he is 71years old) We messaged the agents again the morning after and still heard nothing back. This meant that we could not use the side of the villa at night. There were 3 x 70 year old members in our party, one of which slept on the hard sofa bed as there was no where else. Sadly the agents have still not responded or offered any apology or shown any compassion for the injuries or lack of service (other than to say put it all in writing which we had done in an email ?) Such a shame, they have all been very dismissive - please do not book if you require more than 4 rooms and want any kind of customer care. Disappointing.

Dear Patricia, I have now spend some weeks in my villa, and we have made a serius test of the annex or small apartment. there are no damp issues, but the apartment needed to be painted. It is done now. The other rooms are excactly as it is described, so I think that you have misunderstand something from this. One bulp was broken in the garden and it is replaced, and I have added some more lamps to make it even more ligtned up. I'm sorry that some bedding was missing I will investigate why. I have worked together with this company for more than 10 years always without any complaints so I find is very strange that you have had this bad experince with them. I'm really sorry that you have expected something else, normally guests are very satisfied in our villa, for excample the gueste who left just before you the rated the villa 5 stars! But thank you for your reveiw it help up to improve the villa.

Lovely spacious villa
We were 3 generations, 11 in total, and we had a lovely week in oktober at Villa la Gitanilla. There is all you need and plenty of room for 11 people both inside and out especially the patio was lovely, here we baked pizzas and grilled.

Perfect villa and garden. We had everything we needed.
We stayed 6 adults, 3 teenagers and 3 children, celebrating my husbands 60 years. We had a wonderful stay, everyone was satisfied. The men and boys played basketball, the children was playing in the pool. We had nice times sitting in the poolarea and the patio. The house was perfect, clean and well equipped. The only thing that had lower standard was the little studio. Hope we can return some day.

A good holiday
We enjoyed most things about the villa,we had some problems with the electrics in the apartment which, eventually was sorted out.The apartment was a little disappointing ,it wasn't shown in the villa images.My wife and I were originally thought of using the apartment but,the family thought it wasn't suitable for us,I was celebrating my 70th birthday.One or two other little things which weren't a real problem,we didn't expect perfection.Over all the villa was fine.

2 Weeks of Brilliance.
6 Adults and 6 Children stayed at Gitanilla and we had the most relaxing time we could ever had wished for. Kids ages ranged from 8 to 15 and they never got bored with the pool and table tennis. Tivoli and the Aquapark are a 20 minute car drive away. The cable car to the top of the mountains is highly recommended and this is allocated across the road from Tivoli World which is a must to do at night time. (closes at 1am). The Haunted House is not for the faint hearted. Taxis cost around 10 - 15 Euros respectively. The Marina is a 1.55 Euro bus ride away takes about 10 minutes and the Beach is a 15 minute walk from the Villa. Good Supermarkets are Supercor and DIA. All within walking distance. DIA is cheaper and we bought some lovely meat from there. Supercor is slightly more expensive but has more choice. Both Supermarkets will call you a Taxi from the Checkout. The Villa is beautiful and surpassed itself. The pool is brilliant and there is plenty of sun beds for all. All the Appliances were top notch The fridge cooker etc. The BBQ area and the Bar was the focal point of the evenings. the outside dining area was lovely for us all to sit around during breakfast and lunches. WiFi is brilliant and kept the children in touch with the outside world. Clean and tidy on our arrival we would, no we will visit this Villa again. One more thing. You need a good management team to oversee any problems / queries you may have and the owner has this in bundles. They were always on hand to answer any questions we had. We had a great stay at the Villa and will if we are going back to Costa del Sol definitely consider booking the villa again. The Villa was spacious and luxurious with great outdoor facilities such as the swimming pool where we enjoyed afternoon drinks and relaxation. During breakfast and dinner and evening relaxation we enjoyed sitting in the covered terrace area which could easily fit 12 people. Great spacious kitchen with all necessary appliances and good spacious bedrooms with adjoining bathrooms. The villa has a great view to the ocean and are placed in a very quiet area. The only disadvantage with respect to location was that in the morning around 9 o'clock and in the afternoon around 5 o'clock parrents blocked the street while collecting their kids in the local school just around the corner. In general we were very content with the place and had a great vacation. Thank you.

LOVELY TRADITIONAL VILLA ON HILL TOP
Would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely traditional villa on hill top. The villa was very nice and tidy with a fantastic swimming pool and sunbathing area, the BBQ area was great too with a lovely covered seating area to the rear of the property where we spent a lot of time during the evening!. Would recommend this to family's with young children as it has high walls all around the property (so children cant escape!!). The villa is situated on top of a hill with sea views from front of property, if you do not like hills then may be a good idea to hire a car (has a large drive way), was absolutely fine for us as we do a lot of walking anyway! if you walk down to the bottom of the hill and onto the beach are a couple of very good restaurants. Overall very nice holiday enjoyed buy all , and villa was very good value for money!!! , we will be booking up again!

Een geweldige ervaring
Wij vierden met onze kinderen en kleinkinderen ons 45 jarig huwelijk in deze villa. Een zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en bij binnenkomst verrast door de ruimte van de villa, zowel binnen als buiten. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig en zelfs meer dan dat. We hebben genoten en zijn meer dan tevreden over deze villa, de service en de faciliteiten in dit huis.

Hus med fantastiskt uteplats/grillplats och en stor o bra pool. Saknade dock några parasoller vid poolen. Husets interiör var ganska gammal och sliten men funkade. 3 bra stora duschrum men en toalett som knappt gick att använda av stora män (snedtak och trångt) Den separata lägenheten var inte OK. Barnvagnarna på bilden går inte att använda då de var mögliga så ta med egna.

La gestión del alquiler muy bueno, sin embargo la vivienda no estaba en condiciones buenas de limpieza. Particularmente la piscina estaba casi inservible por suciedad. La localización hace tener que coger el coche para todo (playas, compras, restaurantes, etc). En definitiva, una pena que una vivienda con tantas posibilidades se quede tan corta en cumplimiento de expectativas. Por último, los colchones de las camas muy muy malos. Espero sirva el comentario para hacer ver a la propiedad que con poca inversión puede mejorar de forma sustancial. Un saludo

Mooie villa loopafstand van het dorp
Professioneel geregeld, makkelijk in en uit checken. Veel privacy. Dorp is loop afstand van het huis, wel een stijle helling maar is te doen (alleen niet aan te raden voor invaliden). Heel veel zit plek rondom en in het huis.

Vi var 7 vuxna och 2 små barn. Huset är väldigt mysigt och särskilt poolområdet och baksidan där man äter och sitter och slappar på kvällarna. Perfekt för barnen att kunna gå in från solen mitt på dagen. Vi är jättenöjda med huset, alla njöt för fullt och det är perfekt för att hänga och umgås. Stranden nedanför var inte barnvänlig för dom små, höga vågor. Bättre att då gå till stranden Lazaro. Branta backar upp till huset men lätt och billigt att få tag i taxi om man vill. Inte jättemånga restauranger inom gångavstånd men tillräckligt för att gå ut några kvällar. Att grilla på uteplatsen vid huset var jättemysigt. Orkar man inte laga mat finns det hemkörning av pizza. Rekommenderas varmt.
