  • We all deserve a getaway once in a while!!
    The Lakewood House is the place to relax and enjoy the country lifestyle! Just a short walk will take you right to Temple Park Lake Belton, Where you can enjoy boating, water sports , swimming and beautiful sunsets and plenty of nature. This a very complete two bedrooms
    Spacious parking space for trucks and boats or if you are visiting for work you will have no problem parking your work trucks. Queen size bed in each room and dining table for four . We have full equipped kitchen and coffee and tea for you to start you day like if you were home. Ask for long term staying discount.

Great location-only suggestion is to supply coffee filters and wash cloths . We bought coffee filters and left them for future occupants. We hope to stay here again when visiting Belton

The location was in a quiet neighborhood and clean. Everything worked good and easy to find. Could have had a few more cleaning products and trashbags but we made do. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Worth The Money

We stayed in the upstairs unit and found it to be quite nice. The owner was responsive, the unit was cleaned, and reasonably well appointed. The main item missing were wash clothes which we found odd.The unit was nicely decorated with lake/beach themed items, the rooms were spacious, the active cable options were above average, and the temperature was quite comfortable once we figured out how to operate the thermostat.The only real downside was the location which was good but not great. There was no beach access nor was the unit within walking distance of the beach. Had either of these been an option I would have rated the place 5 starsHaving said that, it was a very short drive to the lake and it was easy to get to Temple and other areas around the lake. We found a lot of great little places to eat such as the Birds Nest and Bold Republic microbreweries and Dead Fish Grill which has a great view of the lakeLiked it, would stay there again

VRBO will not help you with a problem

I recently tried to stay at this property. There were problems with the property that the property owner did not know and we could not stay. I called VRBO several times trying to get a refund on the stay. They were very rude and hung up on me several times. They said that they were not able to help me that I had to contact the property owner. They were completely unhelpful. On the other hand, when the property owner received my message, she called me as soon as she could. She understood what was going on and was completey helpful. She was nice and did everything that she said that she would. She is a lady of her word.
