The one saving factor was that there was a subway station about a 10 minute walk away. However, very few staff spoke English and that was a little challenging at times but they were friendly and helpful! The hotel was clean, the room was big and clean and the spa offered a wide range of massages and treatments. Taxi to the airport from the hotel cost RMB 120; taxi fare to Tiannemen Square was about RMB 65\. The pictures looked great so I booked a week. We got there and there was NO functioning Air Conditioning! After locating the only person that spoke English, they kept saying everything was "fine". We finally had to say: "please either fix the AC, find us another room with a working AC unit, or we will simply have to find another hotel". Their response was amusing, they said: yes, better you find another hotel...which we happily did and their AC unit worked fine. Location? They are 45 minutes away from the airport, right next to a 10 lane super highway with NOTHING around them. The hotel restaurant is a joke, we had to take a taxi to find breakfast!
