The rooms were very comfortable, the hostel was very clean and the ladies at reception were very helpful. They assisted me with booking a driver for the Great Wall and were able to answer a few stupid questions for me. The hutong the hostel is located on is really popular so it's almost always bustling. Plenty of food and drink options on the main street but make sure you venture out into the side streets for less crowded options. Hostel is very close to a subway station as well which was very convenient for getting around Beijing. Have run into a few people who stayed here at different times to me and all were happy with their experience. We had a great time in Beijing. Peking Hostal was perfect for our needs. I was with my 2 kids. The hostal was located on the edge of a great hutong very close to public transportation,as well as walking distance to the lama temple,the bell and drum tower. The hostel was clean and comfortable aside from our bath had a horrible sewer smell. The staff attempted to remedy but had no success.
