I also knew the neighbourhood so there was no problem for my daughters and myself going places from the hotel. It was a hotel mainly for local people. The staff was very friendly. The room we stayed was very clean. It had the basic: beds, air conditioner, shower, TV (local stations only),table and chairs. Small corner stores are nearby. There was a fresh fruit vendor outside the hotel that made my girls really happy. Buses and subway are nearby if you know how to navigate the system. I would recommend this hotel only to people who have the experience traveling in China before and don't mind living like local people. It is, for sure, not a western style hotel so don't expect the kind of service you usually get in four or five star hotels in China. But if you can manage, this one might save you some money.
