Das Personal ist dem Englischen nur unzureichend mächtig, kümmert sich aber per Übersetzungsprogramm um die Bewohner. Wir waren eine Schüleraustauschgruppe und daher nicht auf großen Komfort eingestellt. Daher muss man feststellen, dass das Hotel recht abgewohnt ist, die Business-Zimmer aber recht groß und bieten daher mehr Komfort. Die Bäder sind sehr abgewohnt und teilweise verschimmelt. Das Hotel ist einfach, aber dennoch zweckmäßig. Die Badezimmer sind teilweise sehr heruntergekommen. Zum Schlafen reicht das Hotel. Leider sprechen die Rezeptionsangestellten kaum Englisch. Front desk staff spoke very minimal English, but tried. The room was ok size however house keeping could use some pointers on how to keep a room clean. The name on the front of the hotel didn't say Beijing Meiyuan Hotel at all. It was called Golden Inns. Plus google and expedia pined it in the wrong location. Not far off but left us going in circles for a while. Keep walking pass the Shangyuan hotel ( according to google it was behind this hotel) and pass the university (expedia said it was next to the university) after the street turns to your right you have to go left on a cross street. If you like to be woken up at 7am by staff yelling to each other in the halls, then this is the place for you! I'd stay at the Downtown Backpacker's Hostel instead next time as they offer tour information and helpful advice for travelers, at even better rates! Bed was very hard and shower area needed a good grout cleaning. Das Beijing Meiyuan Hotel ist Teil einer in China vertretenen Hotelkette. Es liegt im Haidian District. Aufgrund der Nahen technischen Universität war es unsere erste Wahl. Grundsätzlich bietet der District keine großen Attraktionen. Das Hotelpersonal ist freundlich, aber in der Englischen Sprache nicht sicher, wenn es sie überhaupt annähernd beherrscht. Dementsprechend kann sich bei mangelnden Chinesisch-Kenntnissen die Kommunikation schwierig gestalten. Die Zimmer sind relativ geräumig, das Bad etwas klein. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer ist einem Hotel dieser Klasse angemessen. Lediglich der Duschvorhang könnte sauberer sein. Das Hotel bietet die üblichen Services, also Haartrockner, Shampoo/Duschgel und ähnliches. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Wasserspender, mit dem heißes und kaltes Wasser gezapft werden kann. Auch für Hausschuhe ist gesorgt. Da die Elektronik des Zimmers nur mit der Schlüsselkarte funktioniert, schaltet sich auch die Klimaanlage beim Verlassen des Zimmers und Entnehmen der Karte ab. Die kann im Hochsommer etwas störend sein, da beim Betreten des Zimmers zunächst eine angenehme Temperatur erreicht werden muss. Das Frühstück war bei uns inbegriffen, wir haben es aber nur zweimal in Anspruch genommen. Es ist sehr chinesisch (nicht schlecht aber ungewohnt) und entsprach nicht ganz unserem Geschmack. Es gibt besseres chinesisches Grühstück. Das Hotel bietet leider nur chinesisches Fernsehen, also nur einen englischen Fernsehkanal.
