Booked an Executve suite for our family of 4 and was told by the manager that we needed to pay extra for cots for our kids (11 and 13 yrs old ) as the room had only one bed. Pics on Expedia and Doubletree website show multiple beds in the room. Took a day and a talk with the GM to get two cots delivered making the room feel really cramped. 2\. Free Breakfast We chose adding access to the Breakfast buffet which was a mistake. The manager tried to tell us that we didn’t pay for four (4) breakfasts because we only had a single bed. It wasn’t until we showed our Expedia confirmation for 4 People in the room did he grudgingly agree. Between this and the bed issue it was over an hour of trying to come to an agreement with the manager showing him confirmation emails and his one doubletree website showing the room pictures with multiple beds. The other reason not to choose to eat the breakfast buffet is it’s not that good and food quality is just so-so. Take a walk and find much better food in the mall located next to the hotel. 3\. “Downtown” Is not true. Yes it’s in Beijing but not near anything. Expect to have to grab taxis to get around. And make sure you have Alipay!
