Stayed for the first night and decided to switch to another hotel. Hotel receptionist was hard to work with. The hotel informed me that i will only be charged for night we stayed and refund the remaining 3 nights. I called hotel.com multiple times and i was told i will not be refunded because they can not get hold of the hotel approver. One is for my mom and anties, and another is for me and my brother. When we found the hotel at first sight located in a small street, we wondered how it will go, because we had never stayed in China before, though my brother studied in China. However, as soon as, we entered in a hotel, there remained nothing to worry. Employees were friendly and in stand-by with sincere service mind. My mom and anties, though, are over 50 - close to 60 - had not found anything disappointing and we, of course, really adored everything in China and the hotel. They really enjoyed their first-ever overseas travel and even didn't realize what we finally had to leave China for returning Korea. They giggled, laughed, and bended all the way for 4 days and 5 nights. Now, I am sincerey thankful to the hotel and miss to visit again. The staff are very friendly and helpful but as we booked at the great price on hotels.com they put us in an inside room, not a room with a balcony, they wanted us to pay more for a window but once they realized our booking included an outside room they gave us one. Negatives: walls are thin & cig smoke was coming into the first room, They didn't change the sheets in 4 days despite a request and they don't wash mugs or glasses. Le personnel est trés accueillant malgré la barrière de la langue car leur anglais était plus que sommaire. Mais grace a google trad sur l'internet de l'hotel nous avons pu échanger un minimum. Emplacement assez éloigné du métro, mais le hutong de la localité est trés agréable à traversé. Non loin, a pied, quelques rues commerçantes trés agréable aussi avec des bars accueillants et pas trés touristiques. Seul Bémol, malgré une reservation payé sur le site il m'a fallu déboursé 100 euros supplémentaires ( pour huit nuits) par rapport au prix annoncé, car la chambre reservé n'était pas disponible ???? Est ce que ce probleme vient du site ou de l'hotel ?? Desde la entrada da mala impresion por el descuido y el desaceo. De las habitaciones, solo se puede decir que son asquerosas, los tapetes no han sido aspirados ni se han lipiado en mucho tiempo, habia telarañas y el baño tenia basura sin recoger. No era posible dormir con tranquilidad en un lugar tan sucio. Por lo que al amanecer, despues de hacer un llamado de atencion, nos retiramos del hotel. Nos dieron constancia de cobro de una noche. Y el reembolso del dinero restante de una reservacion de 4 dias debe ser reclamado a Hoteles.com. The hotel is located in walking distance to main attraction but in other hand nobody knows the hotel address! We had hotel staff to write in Chinese the hotel location, the closest intersection, the closest big hotel but still we had such a hard time to get there because taxi drivers don't know where it is! We been trying to get a taxi for 20-30 min and every taxi refuse and shake their heads that they never heard of it! Pros; hotel staff is nice and helpful. Cons; rooms can be cold and some of the staff smoke cigarettes in reception area and leave nasty ashtray full of smelly cigarette butts! Non oriental breakfast start at 9 am. Internet is horrible, it keep dropping off and then just don't work at all! Parhaille (länsimaisille) ostospaikoille on myös 15 min kävelymatka. Jos ei halua kävellä, 50m päässä on bussipysäkki ja bussi vie esim. kielletyn kaupungin portille. Metroon muutama sata metriä. Vaikka hotelli on lähellä keskustaa, se on kuitenkin keskellä paikallisten asuma-aluetta. Lähistöllä siis aitoa kiinalaista ruokaa ja muutenkin aitokiinalainen meininki, positiivisessa mielessä. Henkilökunnan englannin kielitaito hyvin vaihtelevaa, pari osasi hyvin englantia, pari auttavasti ja parin kanssa toimittiin tietokoneen kääntäjän avulla. Hyvin auttavaista ja ystävällistä henkilökuntaa. Hotelli sinäänsä on kunnoltaan jo parhaat päivänsä nähnyt, käytävät varsinkin kulahtaneen oloiset. Huoneet melko pienet, mutta ihan siistit, kolmen tähden tasoa vastaavat Kannattaa ottaa huoneet kaupunki- tai puutarhanäköalalla, näköalat eivät ole mitkään kauniit mutta ymmärsin ettei kaikissa huoneissa ole ikkunoita(?). Affordable Price! The hotel is an authentic cultural experience in a very convenient location. The price is reasonable, but keep in mind it is a 2.5-3 star establishment. The rooms are clean and adequate, but we experienced a minor water leak in the bathroom. We also changed rooms because the first room was affected by noise from a neighbouring building. The beds are very firm. The staff don't speak much English, but worked hard to make our stay enjoyable.
