Has a lift Is clean, if the facilities are basic. Towels and linens are clean however have somewhat lost their heft through a lot of washing. Staff don't speak English. Book only basic rooms via Expedia as I sense when you get there they won't have an "upgraded" one, even if you book. If you know Beijing, good location for attractions. If you don't, you may want to spend that extra tenner or so. NB most guests are out of town Chinese taking their kids to the nearby Children's hospital. Most of the time nobody answered the phone at Front Desk or Service Dept. Staff told me they are short handed. But the price of $55/night is too high for such an outdated facility and poor service. The free breakfast is good for the locals.
