This was an excellent choice in Begur! Parking was an easy walk away and we were able to drop our luggage right by the front door. The friendly staff went above and beyond helping us choose restaurants and book sea kayaks. We walked to the castle and to dinner every night. We loved our garden view room with a terrace; we could see the mountains in the distance and it felt very private. The rooftop terrace was stunning at sunset; the bar was closed for the season but guests were invited to visit the terrace. The breakfast was lovely with an egg cooking station, fresh fruit, meats, cheeses and breads/pastries. We can recommend this accommodation without hesitation.

First the front desk people were incredibly helpful, particularly Lorenzo, who was one of the most friendly and dedicated staff I’ve ever seen. That guy can do anything! They helped us with restaurants, bus schedules, beach towels and even a loaner umbrella—everything we needed. The hotel is very nice with a good breakfast and great location. I’d only wish the rooftop bar was open every night, but the nearby plaza was great anyway. Note that if you are driving there you need to ignore the “residents only” sign to get to the place they tell you to unload. Although the lot they directed me too was only a 5 minute walk, so just driving there and walking to the hotel would have been simpler. If you travel light I’d call and ask about that option.

Amazing experience in Alta House, Begur is a must visit. I get to travel all pver the world and I will be back to Alta House. The town is great, lots of calas around to visit but the staff (Qmile) was incredible, he wa super helpful and very kind. Thank you Alta House for an amazing time.

Hotel gem in Begur

Alta House is a small, modern very well run hotel by centre of Begur. Clean and comfortable, with staff who could not be more helpful and friendly - Camille, Angela and Julia thank you so much. We were sorry to say goodbye to them !

Alta House was perfect for our family of four (two adults and two teens - we had two rooms) to spend a couple of days visiting Begur and the surrounding area. We really liked the hotel, including the breakfast, pool area and rooftop bar area with incredible views. While you can’t park right at the hotel, you can drive to it to unload your bags before taking your car to one of the parking lots nearby. Although this might sound inconvenient, it really is part of the allure of Begur - there really aren’t many cars in the town at all, and it makes the place very pedestrian friendly.

Camille at the front desk with his team Julia & Angela were superb - welcoming, accommodating and so helpful with local tips & insights, dining recommendations and taxi connections. After a long tiring travel day, we entered the hotel lobby that smells divine, the rooms were well-appointed with comfortable beds, fluffy white towels, in-room fridge, and lovely outdoor deck furnished with table & chairs. We spent a lot of time enjoying the gorgeous pool and pool area and a highlight was the sunset cocktails were unforgettable with the coastal vista, the hip vibe with perfect playlist capped off with castle views. The lady who replenished the breakfast treats smiled warmly all morning and we loved the breakfast. The location is perfect too and we began our day with a walk to the castle, enjoyed afternoon shopping in the lovely streets nearby, and we reveled with a bop in the town square to a fantastic DJ. We also took taxis to local beach Sa Riera and snorkeling in a glass bottom boat from l’estratit. Our only regret was we didn’t stay longer. Camille made a point of finding us to give us a hug on our last day and to bid us adieu. We’ll be back.

Such a lovely stay at Alta House. Super clean rooms, comfy bed, great breakfast included. All the staff were extremely helpful. The hotel has reserved spaces in a car park about 5min walk from hotel which is 8euros a day, which is more expensive than the public car park cost but finding a space in the public spaces was really challenging so thankful for the car parking space offered by the hotel. Would recommend to anyone visiting Begur!

Perfect location in Begur with short walk to bus stop for beaches. The breakfast was delicious and relaxing in the lovely courtyard. Rooftop had wonderful view over the town and castle. Parking down the street was fairly easy. Would definitely stay here again.
