King for the night!
"How can staying in a palace be bad?!
Stayed here 24 years ago and its still a great place to stay! Loved the balcony and our room. Hotel staff work hard to reserve hotel parking for guests, so that's great. Beautiful view of Jaen from hotel. And there is an ancient castle to tour on location for only 1.5€ each!"
"The Wi-Fi was great and the bed was too soft. It’s an oddly lonely property amidst the places you want to be with a minimal staff (the receptionist does check-in, check-out, manages your left luggage AND preps the breakfast buffet!). The room was longer than it was wide (be careful not to bump your head on the walls) and an itty bitty pool suitable as a birdbath. All this said, it had an ample bathroom with a walking shower and plenty of towels (that disappeared the second night)."

"In January, out of season, the bar and restaurant were closed.
I was unable to make a good night herbal tea as there was no kettle on in the room.
The TV was tiny and not adjustable to make for easy viewing except in bed."

"This was a very nice respite from the crowds in the bigger cities. I we were greeted by a very nice lady, who appeared to be in charge of the whole thing, very nice, very helpful, very friendly. The hotel is quirky as a very old building can be, and was really beautiful. our room overlooking the rooftops of the village was very comfortable and quiet. Everything about our stay, was perfect, including having an excellent restaurant just a few blocks away."
