Such a great location nestled between Rialto Bridge and StMarks Square we were close to everything, including great shopping and restaurants. Our corner ground floor room backed on a canal that was a hub of activity. While our room was perfectly quiet with the windows closed, we loved leaving them open to hear the sounds of Venice, including the gondola drivers serenading their passengers. The room was clean and well maintained with air conditioning for the hot days. Best feature? The breakfast was simply over the top!!! A buffet with lots of variety, or à la carte eggs or pancakes with tons of fruit. My husband had both :)

My experience at this hotel was disappointing. The check-in process was poorly communicated, there’s no reception, and we had to contact them via WhatsApp and send passport details to enter through secured gate and get the key, which was left on the desk. The steep stairs to the room weren’t suitable for those with mobility issues. Our room door key didn’t work at all, either due to a broken lock or wrong key. Despite sending videos and promises of maintenance, no one came to fix it during our two-night stay. The door never closed properly, leaving our valuables unsafe and causing sleepless nights out of fear someone might enter. The room had minimal amenities: one set of towels, a bar of soap, a non-functional fridge, and an AC that only blew air. Broken and loose wall sockets made charging devices risky, so we used a power bank. The uncomfortable mattress was placed over a small double bed, causing it to bend and fall apart if sat on. Overall, safety and comfort were compromised. The only positive is the central location, close to major sights. Budget-wise, it’s acceptable for a quick stay, but only if the door lock works for you. For longer stays or better safety, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Plenty of food shops and other markets nearby.

The hotel has a great location if you’re looking for St Mark’s square proximity. Breakfast was nice. Just be aware the hotel has an annex and you may end up there. You leave the hotel, go down a short alley, through a small courtyard to their annex building. The room was ok but we would have preferred the main building. Breakfast is in the real hotel. Also, for those who care, English language tv is scarce and inconsistent.

Good location by the water bus stop on the Grand Canal and thankfully a bit away from the crowds of St. Marco district, which is easy 10-minute walk away. Big room, marble-everywhere bathroom, comfortable bed, strong AC, BUT the carpet in room 101 should have been replaced 10 years ago. Guessing it used be white, but now it is gray-ish and covered in dark stains all over. Oddly, a porter entered the room "to check the minibar inventory" while we were in the room resting in the afternoon. Why the inventory count was not done during the cleaning earlier in the day??... Not a 5-star hotel category.
