This hotel is located a short walk from the city center full of shopping, dining, and bars. There is onsite parking, and during our stay, we didn't see or hear anyone else, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. There is also a great bakery right across the street to get a coffee and pastry, or ask the friendly owner to make a sandwich for your lunch while touring local wineries.

Had a one night stay on a travel stop over at this hotel. Breakfast was good and the rooms were spacious and ACs worked well. Bathrooms were nicely renovated. Beds comfortable. Wifi was not working well in our rooms but could access in the lobby. Easy walking to shopping, dining and a bit of sight seeing.

It started out somewhat difficultly, because the front staff who answers phones did not explain very well what was meant by "drive up the street until you get to the pole." It would have been helpful if they said, "when you drive up the street, you will come to a large round pole in the middle of the street that blocks your way; get to the pole and then call us." Otherwise, we enjoyed our room, which was quite large, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great location. Visitors need to know, however, that as with many hotels around France, the parking is about a five minute walk away from the hotel.

Lovely family friendly hotel, best breakfast!
Our second visit, always a lovely comfortable stay. Secure parking is important to us as we are en-route to the alps with skis and a full car. Be sure to request ahead of time as there is limited insight parking - but plenty more in the square around the corner. Family rooms are lovely, the mezzanine was a huge hit with our kids. Might not be for smaller children though. Very clean large bathrooms with thick soft towels. Breakfast is our favourite and the buffet has everything you could dream of. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Just a short 3 min walk into main square of town, great location.

We were surprised about the actual room size (king bed below two twin size in loft) compared to the picture. We (2 adults and 2 kids) had a tough time moving around in the room. It was very small. An important point when we picked the hotel was the available parking offered by the hotel (and clearly advertised on the website). We were on our way home and needed an overnight stop. Our car was PACKED completely and didn’t want to park it somewhere in the city. There was no way to unload it because we didn’t want to do it while the car was on the street in the rain (No parking spaces free). The hotel told us that there was no space available at the hotel (full) and we should just drive around until we found something. All the parking lots were full and street parking as well. After a LONG search we got lucky and found parking. When we asked the manager the next day he told us we have to reserve space at the hotel because it is limited. I wish I would have read this info on the website because I could have easily done so… or just stay at another hotel. The wifi, unfortunately, wasn’t working! A bummer when you have important things to take care of.

We stayed in the Annex/ Apartment No.11 so didn’t experience the main hotel. The apartment is lovely old home and nicely furnished, with lots of character. It it well located on Place Madeleine with bars and restaurants a minute’s walk away, with the Hospices 5 minutes walk. Downsides were (1) second bedroom is on top floor, with sitting room and kitchen/dining area on first floor, and main bedroom, shower room and loo on ground floor. This isn’t good for families with young children. (2) the cooker/ hob wasn’t working, which we were planning to use and negates one of the reasons we opted for the apartment.

The air conditioning did not work and our room was on top floor in the eaves, the hotel is on a busy road and close to a night club so too noisey to leave window open at night. There was no lift unfortunately for older people with luggage. Also the beams in roof/ceiling were a hazard.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk into the town where there is a great choice of restaurants and bars. We arrived on the day the music festival was being held and the town had a lovely friendly vibe to it. The bedroom was a generous size with a small fridge and A/C , the secure parking to the rear of the hotel was worth the small extra price to pay.

This is a lovely hotel in an extremely convenient location in Beaune. The hotel room was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and good bathroom facilities. The man at reception was very helpful, pleasant and spoke exceptionally good English. There's a car park at the back of the hotel but there happened to be a space right outside the front where we unloaded our baggage. My husband asked about parking and was told he could keep the car in the parking spot directly outside for as long as he wanted - very convenient! The breakfast room was quite small and very busy but apparently it was a French national holiday weekend. We had a nice breakfast. The lounge for public use was very luxurious but unfortunately we were only able to stay at the hotel for one night en route home so didn't use it. We were absolutely amazed at how many restaurants there are in Beaune and every one was busy so there was plenty of choices to eat out. We'd definitely return to this hotel. It's a great stopover hotel enroute from Provence to the Channel.

Great value hotel in Beaune
Third time staying in this hotel. Rooms range from very simple to high-end. Clientele ranges from wine tourists to families stopping off during a longer journey. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Breakfast option has a great deal of choice and is worth the cost. Location is fantastic. Close to the city center with the convenience of a grocery store (Casino) a 2 min. walk. The one drawback for me this stay was the lousy internet service. It was the worst I have experienced in all of my travels.

The hotel is located in a great location, just outside the city wall. Very convenient for a day or two visiting Beaune. The hotel is very clean and staff is reasonably friendly. If I have to make one small criticism is about the WiFi. Works well early in the morning or very late at night, but if you need WiFi access to do any work, you may get frustrated with the slowness during the day.

Hotel de la Paix was a fabulous experience. We were in France for two weeks and this hotel and staff were our favorite. We felt we were treated more like family than visitors. Everything was so clean and organized. All staff members were respectful and helpful. I believe this hotel is underrated with only three stars. The breakfast went above and beyond. The towels,pillows and beds were very nice. Above all we can not say enough about the staff and how comfortable they made our stay. Although the location to City Center was several blocks it was by no means a deterrent,easy walk to train station and shopping. This accommodation was the favorite of our trip.

A great hotel that is a short walk from all amenities in the interesting town of Beaune. Secure parking is available behind the hotel. The staff were extremely nice and helpful and our room had recently been completely renovated. Lots of space in the room and washroom. We were surprised that it was only a 3 star rated hotel.

Not in the old town, but very easy and safe walk to the old town. This seemed much quieter than the old town anyway, and the restaurants immediately around the hotel seemed better than the old town restaurants. Staff was super helpful arranging dinner reservations. Our room was in great condition and was actually quite large. The AC handled the 93 degree day with ease. No lift but wide circular staircase was easy to navigate with luggage and front desk was eager to help. Breakfast didn't impress us enough to warrant buying, but only bakeries open early; other breakfast restaurant options don't exist until at least 9am.
