Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Fuel for wood burner available locally. Stairgate. Outbuilding with toilet. Garden with patio and garden furniture. Blue Sails (ref JPV) is a traditional Welsh holiday cottage with its own garden enjoying a magnificent setting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, right on the seashore, with waves sometimes lapping against the patio walls, and glorious views of Puffin Island and Snowdonia. The Beach House (ref OHM) lies in a secluded setting, with direct access to the beach (via a few steps) and panoramic views across the Menai Straits to the Snowdonia mountains. This single-storey Scandinavian-style pine lodge is set to the right of Blue Sails. It has a large garden (not fully enclosed) and visitors may enjoy sightings of many species of seabirds, porpoises and even the occasional seal. Beaumaris (2 miles), a World Heritage Site, is Anglesey’s most attractive town; it has a castle, boat trips to Puffin Island, water sports facilities, shops, restaurants and excellent inns.Bangor 8 miles. Beach 1 mile. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests. Free WiFi The owner kindly requests only to use eco cleaning products. There a a few steps down to the beach. The property is accessed by a rough farm track. There are large gaps between banister spindles. Cats are not allowed at the property. There are drops in the garden. Blue Sails is a great place to relax. Excellent owners. Our only issue is with the Sand Fleas. These come out at about 5pm and if you don't have doors and windows shut you'll spend your time squatting them inside. These are the only reason that will put us off going back. There were 1000s of the little buggars and they jump all over the patio, grass, house. The back of the property also needs an outside light but I think that this may attract more of the little nippers! Overall a great place. We had a fabulous week at Blue Sails. The views are just spectacular, and such a treat to wake up on the beach. Some of the decorative touches had been removed, as had information on the local area due to covid-19 but this was understandable. The property worked well for 3 generations - grandparents, plus our family of 4, and we enjoyed kayaking from the house and walks and bike rides in the Beaumaris area as well as further afield, and were even lucky enough to spot dolphins near the lighthouse. Even though it allows pets there was no smell of dogs. To gain maximum benefit from the cottage I would like to make a suggestion. Have you considered getting rid of the two uncomfortable bunk beds ( which are very small) and putting 2 comfortable single beds in what is now the dining room and putting a dining table and chairs where the bunk beds are? Without a doubt the cottage needs WiFi and a second television in one of the bedrooms... the weather isn’t guaranteed and the second television/dvd would allow children to play on PlayStations etc or watch a dvd if you cannot get out. My husband needed WiFi connection because he needed to keep in touch with work and we’d brought our Amazon firestick as we knew the weather would most probably raining (which it was).
