Nice cozy cottage - just what we were looking for. The courthouse is just across the street with a nice park and farmer’s market on Saturday so it was easy to take our dog out for a walk. There are a couple of coffee shops within two blocks towards town and great for breakfast. We love Beaufort and this is our third trip to town she loves all the nice shops and he really enjoys the history. Quiet and peaceful.
The Shell Cottage is in a perfect location. It is convenient for walking to restaurants and stores. It is off the street and that allows some privacy. The bikes are an added bonus.
We have stayed there many times over the last 20 years. Always clean this time we stay in the cabin that takes dogs. We have never stayed in this one before. It was very nice on the inside. Everything was clean. We like because we can walk to downtown.
The Shell Cottage had everything we needed for our short but sweet stay in beautiful historic Beaufort, NC. It was clean and welcoming, beautifully decorated and in the best location. My husband and I both agreed, we could easily live there! Perhaps we'll stay longer next time...
Nothing but good things to say about this property. Everything was as advertised. Very comfortable rental with easy parking and great location a short walk from town. Would stay here again.
The place was just as described on the listing. The location was great--nice walk to the waterfront and restaurants, adequate amenities, and clear communication from the hosts. We would definitely book again!
My husband and I stayed at the Shell Cottage while attending the Beaufort Music Festival. The cottage was in the perfect location for us to ride our bikes and/or walk back and forth to the festival!!! We also really enjoyed the quick walk to Front Street shops. We will definitely stay at the Shell Cottage again.

Excellent property in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Easily walkable to the waterfront. Robin gave all of the necessary details in advance so we were prepared for check in and check out procedures.
This is tge third time we've stayed at this cottage and every time is as good as the last! We love the location - the waterfront with shopping and restaurants is only 3 short blocks away. And the area around the cottage is very quiet at night. Love it!
This is now the 2nd time we’ve stayed at this property for the Bridge Run. It’s a great cottage in a wonderful location. Robin, the host, is very responsive and kind too!
This unit was smaller but had more than enough room for two comfortably. Well stocked and comfy. We loved the location (two blocks from the water) and the farmers market across the street on Saturday was an unexpected surprise. Owners were easily contacted and offered great suggestions for dining and sights to see. We will be back here again!
Shell Cottage was perfect for me and my dog! It was clean, cozy, and conveniently close to the waterfront. The neighborhood was peaceful and charming, making our morning and evening walks a delight. I loved exploring the nearby coffee shops and restaurants, and I even discovered some fantastic spots for photographing birds, including a small cove on Town Creek visited by a Great Egret. I’ll definitely be back!
Went for the weekend and we enjoyed our stay. Very cute cottage and close to downtown which was nice. For the most part it was clean and well kept. Our only issue however was the shower looked like it was missed and not cleaned before our stay. Other than that we had a great time.
Overall great stay in a very good location. Nice cottage that had everything you needed. The owner had an unfortunate maintenance issue with a leaking AC while we were there. He communicated well about the issue and did what he could to make it work while we were there. Including giving us some money back. Beaufort is worth a visit for sure.
