"Loved the Black Walnut Inn. I would love to go back. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is delicious. A very generous spread. Self-serve tea and coffee is available at all times in the dining room area. There are also treats one can help oneself too. Chocolate chip cookies our first day and molasses cookies the second. Meghan bakes the best cookies. Seriously, the best. The owners are very warm. If we visit Amherst again, staying here would be our first choice. Thank you."

"Lobby, such as it is, tiny & functional. Front Desk personnel polite and tried to be helpful, barely spoke English, so challenges in communication. Did not see any "amenities". Carpets in hallways & stairway FILTHY and stained. Room itself was clean, basic, adequate for a one night stay. Quiet and dark at night, comfortable bed. All in all, one and done, will not stay here again."

"The accessibility was excellent, with convenient access to most major retail stores and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was decent, but the food selection could have been better. The menu was pretty repetitive, with scrambled eggs served every morning and no boiled egg option available. I would definitely stay here again. The room was very clean, the service was excellent, and the location was convenient and accessible."
