"Good location on the Strip"
My wife and I decided to take a few days off and head to Vegas for some adult time, which has been in short supply lately with a 2 yr old around. The Linq had a great rate on their rooms, and considering its central location, we decided to stay there.
The location is really the most positive thing about it. The casino area itself is fairly small, and since we like to play video poker, we were disappointed that there were very few machines for this. The pool area is ok... in Vegas, there are much better pools, however it is nice that it's 21 and up only.
Our room was a suite, which was quite big, newly refinished bathroom which was done nicely, small bar/kitchen type area. However, there was only one window which didn't let in much light, so the room was always pretty dark.
The worst part of our stay though, was the trouble we had to go through to get our bathroom cleaned. Someone, either a previous guest, or a disgruntled employee, had wiped feces on the black granite bathroom countertops, where it blended in, and had not been cleaned off. It was truly disgusting. We had to call housekeeping to come clean it, even left a note showing what needed to be cleaned... and they still didn't do it. Finally had to call a supervisor to come and look at it personally, and then he cleaned it because his staff was now on lunch break.
We weren't offered any apologies or explanation for why it wasn't cleaned, which made us question the cleanliness of the rest of the room.
