"We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. Inside the ambience is grand but it is in need of money being spent on it. This was the only gripe. In fact it was not a gripe but a feeling of sadness. Our bedroom was big and grand, and lovely and comfortable. Enormous bed. Very clean The staff were very helpful. Service was quick and the food (evening roast meal and breakfast) was very good and plentiful and reasonably priced. No complaints at all. All good, other than sadness that in these times of the cost of living crisis, the place needs money spending on it. Used the swimming pool which was lovely - again staff very helpful and friendly and amenities were great."

"Room was small (only about 18” on each side of the bed) which made luggage and clothes difficult to manage. Bathroom was nice with heated floors. Room was dark, which didn't make it feel clean. Breakfast was good. Overall it was really expensive (~250 pounds) for one night, which seemed very overpriced for what we received. Not sure I would stay here again."

"The rooms were amazing the staff was a little stuffy dining options were okay five course meal that you had to be dressed in a jacket and Pub off site that did not serve pub food the grounds were amazing Castle beautiful but I don't think this is for everyone"

"This location was perfection! The view cannot be beat! Day and night panoramic views of Ben Nevis! Everything was awesome. Clean and comfortable. Everything worked. Excellent layout for a large family or even a couple families or group of friends. We didn't even expect how close the canal was! Perfect walk. Everybody in the neighborhood was super friendly. Proximity to town for groceries and shopping was perfect for us. Highly recommend!"

"Loved our stay! Super clean, location was close to everything, cows were sweet, and there’s a gorgeous view of Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains. We got some of our best sleep tucked in the loft! A hot plate and/or air fryer would be a nice future addition as the microwave isn’t super ideal for cooking all things but we made it work just fine!"
