Extremely dissappointed. Will not come back again.
My mum and aunt visited from Korea. I wanted to show them a different part of the UK. So I booked this hotel's twin room via Expedia, which says "Room sleeps 3 guests (up to 2 children)". Just by reading what's written on the website, I understood that the "3 guests" meant 3 adults or 2 adults plus up to two children. But when I arrived there for check-in, the receptionist said that the room only allows 2 adults and told me that I have to book another room which costs me extra 159 GBP. She started making phone calls to arrange the payment, but what made us even angry was what she spoke over the phone. In front of us, she said "Here are guests who booked a twin room thinking that it sleeps 3 adults...They are not English." So I couldn't help myself but get an impression that she was thinking we misunderstood because we weren't English. Moreover, when we finally got inside the room, none of the lights were turning on, so we called the reception to fix it. They told me to wait for the maintenance team which didn't show up and made us waste more than 15 minutes. I had to go to the the reception and ask them again and it finally got fixed. We spent so much money for one very special night, and we've already wasted more than AN HOUR with all this fuss at this hotel.
The spa was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT. Inside the locker room - used towels everywhere. shower area - so DIRTY with black mold on the floor. the ventilator-covered with dust. AND SMELLED LIKE AN OLD PUBLIC BATH.
