"Room Electricals need some maintenance our bedside lamps were not working. Wardrobe inside finishing was incomplete - but otherwise an excellent location and hotel. Food and pool were great"

"Aara Wild near Sigiriya was the highlight of our whole Sri Lanka trip. From arrival, the warmth of the welcome set the tone – every member of staff, from housekeeping to guides to the kitchen team, was genuinely, unfailingly lovely. It’s rare to feel so looked after and so at ease at once. The activities were fantastic and varied: a sunset walk with incredible views, a relaxed afternoon tea, a chef’s dinner served poolside under the stars, and a hands-on cooking class. Each felt personal rather than a standard “resort activity.” We travelled with our two young children, and the way the team engaged with them was special – patient, warm and encouraging, and our kids left having formed real bonds with staff. Our 5 year old was in tears when we had to leave, and honestly I was close!! The wildlife was extraordinary right on the doorstep – elephants, lizards, eagles, even a water snake, all without going far. The biodiversity made every walk feel like a small safari. The natural pool was a wonderful centrepiece, and having a private pool at our room too meant we always had the choice of a sociable swim or quiet family time. And the food was genuinely fabulous throughout. Chef was brilliant and we feel ready to have a go at home with all his top tips! If I had to sum it up: Aara Wild isn’t just a beautiful place, it’s full of beautiful people. We’d go back in a heartbeat. Please book Aara!"

"We had a great stay at Hotel Sigiriya! The views of Sigiriya Rock were beautiful, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable enough for our stay. The pool looked lovely as well, although unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to use it. There were two disappointments during our stay. First, before arriving, I contacted the hotel management to request a simple birthday surprise—a decorated room with a “Happy Birthday” message and a small cake. The hotel acknowledged the request, and I even noticed it written in the corner of our check-in paperwork. Unfortunately, the request was overlooked and the surprise never happened. It was a missed opportunity to make an already wonderful stay truly special. Hopefully, they can follow through next time! The second disappointment was on our second day. The cleaning staff made an elephant out of towels and placed it on our bed. When we dismantled it to use the towels, we realized that they appeared to be our previously used towels. We found this quite concerning and unsanitary, especially since used towels had been arranged and placed directly on the bed. Despite these issues, we had a lovely overall stay, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, and appreciated the friendly service. With a little more attention to these details, the hotel could make the experience truly exceptional. We would consider staying again and hope for an even better experience next time."

"Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at jet wing! We came for our honeymoon and our butler did a fantastic job of making it special for us. From the service we got at check-in to check out the staff was great! We really enjoyed the excursions offered by the hotel like birdwatching in the morning. The food was all delicious and we especially liked the morning breakfast. We recommend jetwing to others on their honeymoon, but also saw a lot of families and seemed like a great place for groups as well."

"The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. They offered tips and always wanted to help to give us the best stay. The breakfast was incredible, there was a huge variety include rotors, fruit, pancakes, hoppers smoothies and curried dishes. The rooms were lovely with a ‘jungle feel’ with the well planted garden that the verandas looked over, complete with swings and regular seating for relaxing. This is 100% on the return list-i can’t recommend it highly enough."

"Sudu Araliya is located on the banks of the Parakrama Samudraya. It’s extensive gardens offer a peaceful place for relaxation. There is a very nice and sturdy tree house with a couple of benches and tables. A lovely place for children to play and adults to relax. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive and our requests were taken care of promptly. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet with many typical Sri Lankan foods. We only spent one night there but planning to return for a 2-3 night stay. Would definitely recommend staying there."

"Incredible helpful and friendly staff and beautiful ground. My cottage with the outdoor shower was charming. Spa facilities were not available during hours that i wanted to use them, ieri early morning and evening before and after excursion, that was sad. No pool towels also a minus. Dinner menu was expensive but nothing was very good. Breakfast however was delicious! Sri lankan menù was bevande expectation. I enjoyed my stay very much."
