Das Häuschen liegt in einer schönenkleinen Ortschaft mit 350 Einwohnern. Das Haus ist aus den 50er Jahren und entsprechend einfach gebaut. Es hat einen schönen Garten, Gartenmöbel sind vorhanden. Die Lage erlaubt Besuche in der Lüneburger Heide, der Südheide und dem Elbe-Wendland. Zwei der 6 noch aktiven Klöster liegen im 10km Umfeld, sowie mehrere sehenswerte Städte und Ortschaften.
