I would not at all recommend staying at this hotel. The amenities are accessible to those who are not staying in the hotel. Specifically, the pool area is a debauchery of a drunken, bodily fluid filled space. The water literally turned into a clouded gray after “first Thursday” which was a party day for this hotel; truly disgusting.
It’s not just that the amenities were therefore unusable, but it was outright LOUD.
The restaurant on the 4th floor, Geraldine’s, was good and had a great bar and service staff. Bar downstairs messed up our drinks, and was mediocre.
The only redeeming factor was the housekeeping staff… they’d have to be an exceptional group to be able to keep up with the people that come and use the public spaces. If you’re going to pay these kinds of prices, go elsewhere.

Fairmont is a fabulous spot in Austin. Very close to all the downtown festivities and the river. The gold Lounge is a great amenity if you book that, so many great small bites all day and drinks right at your fingertips.
