"At first sight I thought the room was nice and as advertised. Nonetheless, we found two cockroaches in the room, our pillows were old and formless, the bathroom sink's handle came out of its hinges, the showerhead was defective and did not offer a comfortable spread of water and finally they had a scheduled construction right next to our room window and while having other rooms available, failed to inform us and give us a chance to move. While the steep driveway was a bit nerve-wracking at first, once you conquer that initial fear, it’s a breeze! You can tell the property was once a truly magnificent estate. I would have loved to see photos of it in its prime, but even so, it remains a wonderful place to stay. The location is perfect—an easy drive to the beaches, the Lechon Highway, and San Juan. Plus, if you enjoy cigars or a great drink, the cigar shop in town (just 7 minutes away) became our favorite daily nightcap.""
