Location is good, just a few minutes walk from the city centre. But the property is a bit old. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was delicious and satisfying. It is walking distance to the center of the village. The room was smaller than it looked online and the bathroom was tiny. There was no mattress pad or liner so we could feel the stitching and edging of the mattress through the sheet. Overall, for the price, I’d go to a different village instead of Barr.

Perfect location
The Hotel is charming but run down. Perfect location in the city only minutes from the center. Breakfast is at 10€ pp extra but good value and very good service from the lady running it. Nothing else is served.

Nice stay in Barr
Hotel in an old winemakers villa. Very well located with nicely landscaped garden. Friendly service, good breakfast. Rooms somewhat small, esp. bathroom.

Lovely grand old hotel
We stayed with our family in the apartment, extending our stay as a lovely space (incl. nice spacious bathroom!) Bit disappointed with lack of cooking equipment (full kitchen yet one pot, no dishes for oven use etc, defies purpose). Hotel lovely, quaint wee town mostly closed as off peak season, but handy for Alsace wine tasting!

we stayed one night on our way back to England from Italy. as a family of 5 we stayed in the family room on the 3rd (attic) floor. there was no lift so carrying heavy suitcases up to the attic on the 3rd floor can be a struggle. the last bit is very narrow and steep up to the attic proper. the room was lovely with a good kitchen and large shower although because you are in the roof you have to mind your head. Being in the roof though does give you some lovely views of the village. the proprietor was very helpful and spoke good English.

Manor provides old French experience
We stayed two nights in this charming manor with our two teenagers. It was a fun French experience. Everyone slept well on comfortable beds. Staff very friendly. The only negatives were some noise from the street through the open windows, and there was no shower stall -- only a bathtub. The hotel is located within walking distance of the shopping area of the village. Village has several nice shops and restaurants.

Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre des Willkommenseins zeichnen dieses Haus aus. Wir waren nun dreimal dort und ich freue mich auf den vierten Besuch! Ein Haus, das Heimweh macht - ohne Übertreibung!

Tired and worn-out but good location
Good location in Barr and the host seemed quite friendly. A shame that the hotel generally seemed very “tried”, with low quality and old furnitures. Hotel generally seemed to be in need of a renovation and paint job. Big hotel apartment with kitchen but almost no plates, knifes etc. Why have a kitchen if it can’t be used? Toilet seat was cheap plastic that was loose and fell of several times. Two of the small windows in the room missed glass and added to the sad look. We tried both beds during the four days but both where very hard to sleep in. If this was a cheaper B&B it would have been fine but at around € 150 per night it was disappointing.

Local bonito e clássico. Cheiro ruim desapontou.
A primeira impressão foi muito ruim pois o hotel cheirava a esgoto quando entramos. O cheiro permaneceu durante a nossa estadia (uma diária). A banheira (chuveiro) apresentava alguma sujeira solta que lavamos para o ralo como chuveiro. Café da manhã bom, com variedade. O quarto muito bonito com decoração clássica e compatível com o estilo do hotel. Falta um frigobar (pequena refrigerador de quarto).

A nice hotel for me and my daugther. We had a relaxing stay from the Alsace vine route reading our books in the gardens shade. Restaurents in Barr are in walking distance.

It was a great place to stay in and the location was very good as everything you needed was within walking distance. The owner was very service minded. The breakfast buffet was also very nice and tasty. Our dog was also very pleased with the big garden. We highly recommend this hotel.

Quel dommage!
Accueil froid, chambre vieillotte avec lit cassé. Pas de porte entre la chambre et le couloir et canalisation d'écoulement tres bruyante. Tres decevant. Lendroit a du potentiel.

Uii madame la duchesse !
Petit déjeuner qui fait plaisir dans un beau cadre, très bien entretenue. La simplicité et la gentillesse de l'accueil est inratable. Le maître de maison est discret et serviable, tout est dans le détail ici, un vieux piano parfaitement accordé, un grand arbre majestueux patriarche dans la ville, le balcon avec la vue sur les montagne. Au delà de la beauté du bâtiment romantique, les marches à faire au alentour vers les montagnes des Vosges sont très belle et faciles, nous avons passez 3 très belle journées avec notre chien. einzigartige Unterbringung in einem sympathischen Winzerdorf, ideale Ausgangspunkt für Wein, Essen, Wandern, Burgen, Städtische Ziele wie Straßburg oder kleine Dörfchen.Ein variationsreiches Frühstücksbüffet. Blick in die Berge. Ideal ist wenn man die Feigenzeit erwischt, dann gibt es Feigen aus dem eigenen Garten oder sonst nicht verpassen die eigene Feigenmarmelade

Beautiful place with nice rooms. We have booked 2 nights and with balcony which was a success. The rooms are beautifully decorated and with updated bathrooms. There is a nice garden too. The winery Klipfel is just across the street and a visit worth. Ask for Katia.

Het goede is de authenticitet, het slechte was dat er twee te kleine eenpersoons bedden op de kamer stonden. Bovendien vond een gast het nodig om om 04:30 op de krakende vloer boven onze kamer een wandeling van 20 minuten te maken.
