Even though Maybelline is technically off grid, everything you need is there. The sound of the rushing water lulled us to sleep each night and the sun peaking in from the mountains behind us was a lovely way to wake up each morning. It's a beautiful and serene space with plenty to explore close by. I booked my stay for the first week in April because I was attending a class in Weaverville that week. Just know that it's still quite chilly in thses parts at that time and that makes being off grid even more interesting. Thank you Hans. Beautiful property next to the creek, secluded but close enough to nearby towns! We spent the weekend here- 2 adults and 1 dog. It was great! We spent time inside maybelline only during the night, we spent the day out in town or on the creek. There’s a nice place for a fire and he has some wood there. The bathroom is outside of the camper- there’s a great view from that window! You can’t beat the location. We went into Asheville and Weaverville during the day, they are not too far away. Super friendly and explained how everything worked. The camper was cozy just perfect for me and my wife. With the views of the mountain side and the beautiful stream outback it was exactly the weekend we needed. If your looking for an off the grid style experience it was pretty cool. When we arrived he greeted us and explained how to run all the equipment since the camper is off-grid. He also told us about all the different hiking/scenic spots in the area.
