The complex, which offers a wonderful sight on the Chianti hills, consists of 11 apartments located in two stone-buildings surrounded by olive threes and vineyards. The complex can host up to 60 people. You will enjoy the charming view of the vineyards and the red soil of the hill, which are the main features and reflect the true colors of this unforgettable landscape. You will have the chance to taste and to purchase wine and oil inside the farm, in a splendid environment consisting of old barrels of seasoned wood, nearby wine cellars where Chianti DOCG is produced. As guests of Casa Katia apartments you will be able to take part in many activities (upon request and for a fee) such as tasting with light lunch, guided horseback ride, guided bike excursion with a visit to San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. Please kindly note. The rental price includes: final cleaning; electricity; linens; towels. Available for a fee, if desired:baby bed EUR 26.00/week. Swimming Pool The swimming pool is 8 meters (26 feet) large by 15 meters (50 feet) long, 1.8 meters (5.9 feet) deep. The area is equipped with sun umbrellas, sun loungers and an external shower. By the pool you will also find a bathroom which is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. From the swimming pool you will enjoy a pleasant view of the surrounding olive groves. You will share the pool with guests staying at 10 other apartments. The swimming pool is open from the beginning of May until the end of September. Garden The garden is 2000 square meters (21500 square feet). It is partly shaded by trees. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a brickwork barbecue. From the garden you will enjoy a pleasant view of the Tuscan countryside. You will share the garden with the other guests staying at the complex. Laundry room You will be able to reach the laundry room from the inner court of the building going down 12 steps. Here you will find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board at your disposal. Patio The patio is 20 square meters (215 square feet) large. It is equipped with a table, chairs and a sun umbrella. From the patio you will enjoy a charming view of the surrounding countryside and of the garden. Entrance LevelLiving Room The living room is paved with characteristic terracotta tiles. The ceiling is sloped and has characteristic exposed wood beams and terracotta tiles. The furnishings are rural and characteristic of the Tuscan house, and include a small sofa and two armchairs. There is a big fireplace made of bricks. In the living room you will also find a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner electric cooker, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, a microwave oven, an Italian-style coffee-maker and an American-style coffee-maker. The dining table can accommodate six guests. In this room you will find a satellite television (local channels). From the living room you will be able to enter the patio through a French door. The room also has a large window. It is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit. Here you will also find a safe. Enjoyed by all and suitably peaceful for my autistic son. The setting, pool and vineyards were delightful and the friendly welcome and bottle of home grown wine was very welcome on arrival. Thank you for hosting such a lovely, perfect holiday home. We would love to return soon. Prices with Summer In Italy were competitive, which led to our initial choice. After booking, we are happy to say that they were friendly, approachable and happy to answer any questions. They emailed several times and called us a week or two before our holiday, to make sure everything was in place and to give us further info. Couldn’t ask for more. ---
