It was a great stay!! Very close to all of the Acadia National Park hikes and attractions. Clark Pointe Cafe was a gem on the final morning after check-out. Would definitely stay here again!
The property was very clean and well furnished. Ingrid was very responsive to any questions we had. The location was good and very reasonable. We would definitely stay there again if visiting Mt. Desert island!
The host was very communicative and provided clear and concise instructions for check-in/check-out. The place was clean and well equipped. The location was close to shops and restaurants in southwest harbor. Highly recommended.
We very much enjoyed our stay in the townhouse. Location was great, away from the bustle of BH. It was very clean and comfortable. Newer construction and stocked with nice things. Appreciated the tips about hikes and restaurants in the area.
We loved this unit. It was very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and bedding nice. The shower had great water pressure. I loved the close walk to the coffee shop. Little grocery store nearby. The only thing that we would have enjoyed was a TV in the bedroom. Would definitely stay here again.
The place was clean and open, very airy and practical. The host provided coffee, towels, dishwasher and laundry soap - most of the essentials. Southwest Harbor is quiet and beautiful.
Nice size for a family of four. Had everything we need and not a bunch of extra tchotchkes (always my spouse's gripe about vacation rentals). Lovely layout in a good location. Would stay again.
Everything was great. close enough to all that we wanted to see. Found a nice flower garden walking distance from our townhouse as well as a little dam to walk over at lower tide.
Enjoyed a 3 night stay; clean, comfortable, and convenient location. Perfect for our family of 4. Would definitely stay here again. Easy communication with owner. Close to the park and Bar Harbor but much quieter which is what we wanted.
This house was a perfect fit for us. Loved being on the quiet side of the island and still just a short drive to get into Acadia or over to Bar Harbor. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance or very short drive. Would recommend
Spacious and clean townhouse. Located in a nice quiet area but not too far from Acadia, Bar Harbor and shopping.
Ingrid began communicating with us almost immediately after booking and stayed in contact.
She offered detailed directions and so many suggestions for places to visit and tips to make things easier.
Very nice experience!
Airy, clean and bright. Exactly what we were looking for. Close to "downtown" Southwest Harbor and Park Explorer bus stop. Chill and relaxed, even on July 4th week. Highly recommend.
Very clean and convenient townhome in Southwest Harbor. If you don’t mind a little stroll, it’s a short walk to the shops and restaurants. We prefer the quiet and laid back vibe of Southwest Harbor to Bar Harbor. This townhome was comfortable and fairly quiet. We traveled with another couple and all were comfortable and appreciated our own spaces. We’d stay here again.
The property was clean and lived up to the online pictures. I appreciated the instructions for various appliances, etc., so we didn't have to ponder how to work them. We were on the edge of the village, so it was quiet and convenient. I would definitely recommend staying here as opposed to the Bar Harbor madhouse!
Highly recommend! Great location, wonderful home. We wanted to visit Acadia and Bar Harbor, but not be overwhelmed by our fellow tourists. This location was perfect for that. The home was well equipped with everything you’d need and well maintained. The host provides great details and instructions (we arrived after dark, and thanks to Ingrid’s detailed directions we were able to find the home without getting lost).
This was our first visit to Acadia, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We found Southwest Harbor to be quieter and less expensive than the Bar Harbor side of the park. The park was crowded, as predicted for early September, but we were able to find parking even at the most visited sites, and with a little advance planning, we watched the sunrise from atop Cadillac Mountain, took a delightful horse-drawn ride on some carriage roads, lunched at Jordan Pond House, and hiked a few of the easier trails.
This place was perfect for my family of four. My wife and I had our own room as did the boys. They each had their own bed as well. The place was furnished with everything we needed during our trip. The location was fantastic as well as we weren’t necessarily interested in being right in the middle of everything in Bar Harbor. The vast majority of trips we made to get where we wanted were under 25 mins so not a big deal. The host gave us a ton of information before we ever set foot in Maine about places to visit, places to eat, and things to do. We would have absolutely no issues staying here again.
Everything about our little homelet was just right. It was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. the location was perfect. We were happy to be away from Bar Harbor, but still close enough to get to the hiking we wanted to do and see the sites we wanted to see. The only thing I can think of is that I’ve never stayed in a VRBO before that didn’t provide bath soap. Other than that life was good, and we appreciated the bottle of wine. We will definitely stay there again. Having the barbecues outside and the chairs in the grass to just sit and sip wine and watch the sunset was really perfect. We got to see deer and wild turkeys and Falcons and just beautiful scenery.
The location of this townhouse can't be beat and is very convenient to access Acadia National Park. Due to the location, I would stay here again. I definitely prefer peaceful Southwest Harbor to busy Bar Harbor on the other side of the island. However, with the good, there are a few small annoyances. The walls of the townhouse are very thin and I could easily hear the man in the next unit when he was coughing. Also, I slept upstairs with the door closed and I could still hear other family members snoring downstairs. Sound also echoes on the main level. Despite the sound issues, it was a great townhouse.
The apartment was very nice. It was an upstairs apartment, but the stairs were no problem even with luggage. Very nicely situated near the Lunenburg waterfront and the downtown area. My only gripes were
1. There is no AC in the bedroom area, just upstairs in the living room/kitchen. Most of the time this would not be an issue this far north, but they were having unusually warm weather for their area when we were there in August. I'm sure that there are some summers when this is not an issue at all. We turned on the upstairs air and situated the provided fans to blow the air downstairs into the bedrooms, and once we got things cooled down we were comfortable and remained comfortable for the rest of our stay.
2. Parking. No assigned spots, so you use street parking. This is fine during the week, but finding a spot can be challenging on weekends, and you may have to drive around a bit looking. We never parked more than a block away and, once again, not really an issue during the week. We were there on a weekend during prime tourist season.
Otherwise we were very pleased with the property and honestly I would stay there again as long as it was a month other than August. The living room was cozy and nicely decorated with a table situated by a nice old fashioned window with a nice view of the street below. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room and kitchen were open floor plan, which i loved.
