Location is perfect as it is on Kota Beach which is really beautiful! We stayed in one of the standard rooms and the bed was so small... It’s just a bit larger than a single bed! Breakfast was good Staff was nice

The right place to unwind and unplug. staff are very helpful and accommodating. near to restaurants and market. the hotel provides free pick up and drop off service.

I like the property's lay-out. The restaurant personnel/servers need more training; additional cook esp during breakfast as it takes so much time to wait for the food. Provision for CATV, even for additional fee. Should allow pets in the property.

It’s ok if you like the back to basic feeling. It’s rustic but trying to be modern. Area is clean even with lots of dogs roaming around. It takes awhile to get food order from the restaurant. Not really my cup of tea but ok for an overnight stay.

Good location but go for a more expensive unit
Location is excellent, no matter which way the wind blows there is a beach for you. Sunsets are nice at the beach edge of the hotel. Tours to the outer islands depart from in front of the hotel. We stayed in the standard room and wished we had spent more for a cottage, the older plain rooms are really basic. Food is average.

Very Good!
The staff were very attentive on our needs. We enjoy our stay in Kota Beach. I just want to comment on the dogs that you will see near the beach, it’s kinda scary as they will come near you. The aircon on our room was not functioning well, but the staff gave us fan.

What wifi
Wi-Fi worked only the first day after that very intermittent or not enough band width for internet. Also they changed Wi-Fi passwords during stay without notice.

Not Worth The Money
Had to cut short our stay, did not care about the extra day we paid for 3 deluxe and a regular room. The whole family could no longer stand being so uncomfortable. Rooms were dusty with sand on the sheets. Towels were worn out, like rags and need to be replaced, please!!!! Cockroach in the bathroom, had a moldy smell, wreaked of urine and so outdated. The owners should spend for complete renovation for the rooms and not take everything for profit. Flies in the dining area, it was so hard to enjoy a meal while keeping your food free from contamination. We will never go back.

ex-wife of the owner has a terrible attitude. Here's the situation when we went there there was an unexpected on/off brownout so we don't have a choice but to understand the situation. Their generator cannot accompany all the rooms even just the lights . We find ways to have a better stay at night since we have 2 kids with us , we went to the shoreline and was about to build our tent when the ex wife of the owner said it's not allowed . We verified it to the staffs since we dont know the lady at first and they said they will try to ask again the ex-wife and hoping to be considerate since we're doing it to have a better stay and there's still no electricity on the resort but we heard all the awful things she said to the staffs . She said ,we wont allow that cause other guests might follow us which I truly understand if and only if there's an electricity on the resort . The most unacceptable words that she said was , ''non-aircon? have them look for other resort if they are no longer comfortable here'' .. no one is comfortable during that stay even the one that was staying in an air-conditioned room. She has to be considerate especially we went there to have fun and relax not to be discriminated . So our plan at that time which is to lay down at the shoreline and have some drinks while watching the stars were ruined by a woman who has no customer service ! She really ruined our stay their

Amazing resort with amazing view!
Kota Beach Resort is a great place for relaxation. It is very serene. The ocean view is amazing! The sound of the waves is mesmerizing! The room was clean. The price is good, I had it booked 5 months before I went there and I got a promo price. The staffs were friendly, they are all smiles everytime they meet you. The food was great too. Over-all, I had a good stay and I will definitely go back here.

Honestly, the best about this hotel, is the food. They serve amazing foods, come in large size, usually good for two. Very pleased with their foods, and the hotel is nice that it's right on the beach. The only downsize about the hotel is bugs. I had to change rooms, because the first room was filled with ants and spiders. Also the sheets has tons of stains. The second room, much less bugs, but still has stains on sheets. Guess it's just usual, I got used to it. I would be back, anyhoo. Definitely better off with aircon, though.

Will be back for sure...nice people the staff are great...we stay there for 4nights and it was amazing..the locAtion is perfect..just dont get screwed by the tricycle drivers outside the kota,there some waiting outside when you get out,some of them are ok but some are really trying to screw us up with the price,luckily I can speak bisaya..but inside the resort is fantastic!

Disappointing at best
The pictures ARE NOT what the hotel looks like. Originally we booked a simple room with two singles but when we got there the room smelled SO AWFUL we had to ask for a new room. We were told this is the scent that goes with all of the single rooms and to get a room that didn't smell we were going to have to pay for an upgraded room. All of the cottages, except for the first row, were super dark and dingy. We decided to go for a cottage in the first row. Even then, the room was small, the bathroom cramped and the blanket situation almost unbearable. All they gave us was one thin blanket (with no top sheet!). When we asked for a second blanket, they gave us a small, thin sheet and said that was all they had. I would not return here.

Beach Resort Beach Front Paradise
I had a great stay at this Resort although it was just an overnight stay. The Kitchen staff in the morning were real pleasant to serve for they give a warm welcome smile while serving the food up to any follow up request and orders. I would say they are attentive. To front desk staff to whom you can ask for your check-in, are well accommodating and also they are kind of informative to were we can do some island hopping or can go buy some souvenir or home coming greet. The room facilities are clean and a good mix of native modern house because it was designed Nipa Hut outside yet inside stuff were a bit modern. I would have request the management to put a hair-dryer (hair-blower) as well for free nyahahaha girl stuff dude..... Anyways, the front beach of Kota were real amazing because of beautiful walk beach front where you can relax and see beneath the beauty of sea. To over all impact I'm loving it and if given another chance I would bring my family to experience the same relaxation and unforgettable experienced in that place as well. Thank you Kota Beach Resort I hope you are always affordable to stay..... =)

Very nice and beautiful resort - getting there is a bit of a hassle, be sure to arrange a time with resort to pick you up at the Ferry port and book a aircon room - the heat can get intense at times, but the staff is very helpful and pleasant people and even helped us get transport to the airport on our way back home!! Thank you Kota Beach Resort!! you will definately see us again!!
