4 Seasons at Beech Mountain

"This photos of this property were not accurate. The property is rundown and dated. The room had dirty rugs, electric outlets missing (we had to request an extension cord) and we couldn’t open the window-which had no screen anyway. I’m sure the 4 seasons had its day, but it is need of major updating. There is no outdoor area and the attached restaurant is closed."

"This property is not what the pictures show! Those photos must be decades old! It is not a bright blue fresh painted place. It is not well-maintained. When we pulled in my kid screamed "Bates Motel!" The exterior was not maintained at all. It had weathered and gray boards with mold all over. We wanted a lodge vibe while in the mountains, but I could have stayed in a nicer hotel for the money I spent here! The hall and stairs and room carpet were nasty and smelled. My bathroom smelled like urine. The sofa had some kind of stain on it. The top ledge of the sofa and cushions and the blanket for the pull-out were covered in dust and kicked up everywhere when we sat down and used the blanket. Window air conditioner and was loud. Gross. Did not feel safe here at all. They said they could not refund my money."

"Beautiful cabin with just a few minor hiccups!We had a wonderful stay at this very nice cabin! The location was fantastic, and the check-in process was incredibly smooth. One of the highlights of our trip was getting to sit outside and relax in the hot tub.The only reasons I rated it a 4 instead of a 5 were a few minor maintenance and supply issues. There was no extra toilet paper provided, so we actually had to drive into town one evening just to buy some. Additionally, the ceiling fan in the bunk bed room wasn’t working, and the fireplace has a broken on/off switch (we also had to completely remove the front cover to manually turn it from the pilot light to "on").Overall, it’s a great property, and with just a little attention to these small details, it would easily be a 5-star stay!"

"The house is cozy and the view is amazing. We enjoyed the time there. The few things that were not great are the bedding accommodations which are not great. The beds are not very comfortable. The biggest negative is mostly from the property management company. The house was clean but there were spider webs in almost every corner, the bathtub downstairs was clogged, the hot top was hot but the jets didn't work properly. The worst part was trying to communicate with the property management company to let them know without success. Also, we tried requesting a little later check out but again we never got a response except for send another message to another number. Overall, pretty good place, the kitchen was equipped nicely, the house is cozy and the decks are the best value."
