The Chalet was a perfect spot. Great location, beautiful views, crystal clear instruction from the owner made check in and check out very simple. And we were gifted a surprise springtime blanket of fresh snow. We plan to return!

Amazing View and Location
Birchwood Chalet was absolutely as advertised, perfect location to Beech Mountain Ski resort, amazing views from the porch. The accommodations themselves were perfect, clean, well apportioned and check in was as easy as one could ask for, since we arrived after dark. I would highly recommend a stay here, and will do so again the next time I'm in the Banner Elk area for snowboarding, hiking, etc. Our stay was superlative in every way. Thanks, Matt Z.

Winter Wonderland in our Cozy Cabin
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming chalet in Beech Mountain, and it was nothing short of a magical experience. This cozy little home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our visit coincided with a record snowfall, which was a delightful surprise, especially for our daughters who were eager to see snow. The backyard of the cabin turned into a winter playground for our girls. They had an absolute blast sledding down the gentle slopes, and a memorable moment was when a baby deer bravely approached them. They spent hours making snow angels and building snowmen, completely immersed in the winter wonder. Diane, our host, was incredibly attentive. She ensured that we felt safe amidst the heavy snow and worked diligently to get the driveway plowed. Her efforts made our stay worry-free and comfortable. Although the heavy snowfall meant we couldn’t venture out by car on Saturday, the cabin’s location proved to be perfect. It’s so close to the resort that we ended up taking a short, scenic 10-minute walk there, which was an adventure in itself. In conclusion, our stay at this Beech Mountain cabin was a wonderful experience. The cabin’s warm ambiance, coupled with the enchanting snowfall and Diane’s exceptional hospitality, made our trip unforgettable. We are already looking forward to returning to this delightful retreat on our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a picturesque and relaxing getaway!

First time snow!
We booked a last minute trip so our daughter could go play in the snow for the first time. Diane our host was amazing! She communicated everything with us so there were no questions upon arrival. The Birchwood Chalet was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and has amazing views! Beech Mountain is right across the street which is a huge plus. We will definitely be booking again!

Cozy Chalet
I would like to start with saying the process of checking in was a breeze! This chalet is located on beech mountain so close to the skiing slopes, not only there’s a beautiful view of the mountains from the back deck but it’s also so beautiful and well maintained, from the moment we arrived I noticed how clean and cozy it was, we spent 6 nights there and everyday we were so privileged to see all the beautiful deer around the area, we absolutely recommend this chalet, we can’t wait to come back again in the near future.

Weekend retreat
This was the perfect location for a mountain getaway with my husband. The home was clean and ready for our weekend away on arrival. Fall for the Mountains
This cabin has one of the best views on the mountain. It has a huge deck with three different seating arrangements. The cabin has been beautifully decorated and the host has made sure that the guest has everything you could possibly need to ensure a great vacation. We especially appreciated the “ Coffee Bar” which was equipped with 3 types of coffee makers, creamers, sugar packets and hot chocolate mixes . The beds linens and bathroom towels were of high level quality

Serene Mountain Chalet Getaway with Breathtaking Views
Our experience here was quite enjoyable. Nestled in the midst of nature, the chalet offered stunning views from the deck and living area that took my breath away. The peaceful ambiance and cozy atmosphere made it a memorable escape from everyday life. Despite its relatively small size, the chalet was appointed with modern amenities that ensured a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fairly well-equipped, (could use more tableware and a vegetable peeler!), the cozy living area was inviting, and the Wi-Fi connection was reliable. The one bed we used was very comfortable. The chalet's size was a bit small. While it's suitable for a couple or a small family, the bedroom spaces were a bit tight, making it hard to navigate around the furniture. One slight drawback was the two neighboring home's close proximity. Only one was occupied during our 4-night stay, but conversations could be overheard like they were in the room, or on the deck with us. This was in the summer with the windows and screen door open, though. This did somewhat affect the feeling of seclusion that I was hoping for, but it wasn't a big deal. Overall, it was a wonderful place, and we would go back for more. Our host, Diane was great also. Thanks, ChatGPT!

Birchwood Chalet was cozy and clean, perfect size for two! Neighbors are in close proximity to the chalet, but I was aware of this from reading other reviews. There are beautiful long range views from the back deck. We did have a minor issue during our stay, but the owner was swift to respond which was impressive. All in all, it was an enjoyable, relaxing stay.

This place is amazing!! I don’t think I have ever stayed in a place as clean as this one. The linens and towels smelled sooo good. I knew it was clean and sanitized as soon as we walked in the door. The master bed was extremely comfortable. Perfect size for me and my husband. The location was perfect. I didn’t realize when I booked that it was located in its own little town. We spent a lot of time wandering around Beech Mountain and fishing the creeks and lakes close by. It’s close to Grandfather Mountain, sugar Mountain, and Blowing Rock. Blowing Rock town was my favorite. Thank you for letting us spend time in your home.

Perfect Get-Away!
We had a wonderful stay! The master bed was super comfy! Shower Amazing and the views were the icing on the cake. We enjoyed playing games and the cool mountain air. Side trips to the Old Hamilton Store, Elk River Falls, Linville winery , Linville Falls and Valley Crusis we’re some of the highlights. We would definitely recommend this place. Sweet Mountain Get-a-way
My husband and I stayed here for the first time. It is a very clean, super cute, homey space. The beds are very comfortable. Shower lovely. The deck is huge with fabulous mountain views. We did a lot of hiking and driving to other towns including Blowing Rock and Asheville. We loved the area and will stay at this sweet mountain cottage again.

Absolutely beautiful location
The view is exactly what it looks like in photos. It’s in a gorgeous spot and the bike path is indeed right outside too. It’s close to the local market store too. The home was stocked with everything we needed. Beds and couch were comfy and clean. The stove fireplace has been converted to gas and is a beautiful accent point in the home. It also warms it incredibly well. Couldn’t ask for more! The neighboring homes are very close but the design of the house makes it feel very private, even when you’re on the balcony. And it’s well insulated so it’s quiet and comfortable inside. I hope to be back soon!
