Took the family and dog there for a short spring break and it’s just perfect for a family of 4 with plenty of space for more (Futon upstairs). The fireplace was a nice touch. And a great back porch. Checking in is a breeze. There’s a great pond close by. And it’s all within driving distance to great hiking and going into Boone/Blowing Rock or whatever you want. My wife loved it. Will do again. Good quiet place to reset.
Overall clean and furnished as described. This is our second time staying at this property. We enjoy the grounds, the fire pit and the nice playground area at the entrance of Seven Devils. Only complaint was a loud party that took place from near by neighbors one evening that did not end until after 2am. Overall good property and nice area.
We loved having all the trees around the house, and the screened back porch was wonderful! The house was easy to live in for the month we rented it, and it was well equipped with what we needed. We had an issue at checkin with logging into the internet, and when we called the rental agency, they promptly sent out someone who fixed it right away. We really appreciated their quick response. The cabin is not easy to see since it is set back from the road. It would be helpful if the directions from the rental agency included that the driveway is next to the barn.

Nice but……..
This residence was ok. Plenty of firewood was a very nice feature. Interesting construction of residence leaves numerous drafty issues. In some areas of the home you can see holes to the outside….Yikes! The master bath boasts a heater switch. Yet there is no heater in the room! The toilet seat was very cold on the 12 degree morning! Appliances are really old. The TV ….basic Roku only. Fridge was clean. I like this area but I won’t rent this unit again.
The Log cabin was very nice, located in the middle of all the tree- no large over view but nice. Plently of cut firewood for the fireplace- tools to handle the fires and clean up need to be replaced. Lower level and loft bedroom bath were nice. Heating elements were limited, one side of house worked living room not at all. The fans helped mover the heat around the cabin. Heater in lower bathroom needs adjustments relative to noise. Stove top not all burners worked, toaster oven didn't function- dials worn off. Kitchen set up was good and screen porch was nice to view the colors. The streaming on the TV was difficult and limited viewing on desired shows and channels. Over all the stay was very nice for the season of Fall Colors and easy access to regional venues for shopping and dining.
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! Very well equipped, clean, warm and inviting, great decor and location. We were comfortable and really enjoyed our stay! Look forward to returning sometime.
We loved the welcoming feeling of the cabin. We could find everything we needed to stay comfortable. The area is beautiful. We will definitely come back next year.
Cabin was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Check in and check out were simple. I loved that there were extra lap blankets in all the rooms. Made it a very cozy stay! We would stay here again.
We had a great time from start to finish. Quiet neighborhood, very charming cabin- a lot of birds and wildlife all around. We especially loved the proximity to Boone/Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. Great location just off highway 105. We will rent again.
The cabin was perfect for us. My daughter and I brought my mother for her birthday. We loved everything about it. The location was beautiful. We hope to return next year

The house was in overall nice condition. The floors and furniture were extremely dirty. Noticeable spiderwebs and dust. Downstairs mattress needs to be upgraded.
We had a Mother’s Day getaway weekend and had a wonderful time. We spent most of our time on the porches, enjoying the rain or the mountain air and sounds. Reading a book on the hammock was so relaxing. We were an easy drive to Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns, Grandfather Vineyards, and downtown Blowing Rock.
My husband and I stayed for a week in October 2021. It was perfect! Loved the pond that was right down the road. The barn with fall decorations was a beautiful addition. The location was convenient to Boone, Banner Elk and Blowing Rock. We loved our accommodations!
