Castel Clara is a truly stunning hotel in one of the most beautiful locations we’ve visited. The scenery is incredible, the atmosphere is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, and it was the perfect place to unwind for a couple of days.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful before and throughout our stay, arranging our shuttle, bike hire and restaurant reservations with ease. The food was excellent too – we enjoyed two fantastic meals and a superb breakfast.
Our only minor issue was the lack of air conditioning during a particularly hot spell. However, we completely understand and respect the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, and it certainly didn’t detract from what was a fantastic stay.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend Castel Clara to anyone looking for a memorable stay on Belle-Île.
We were surprised to see that the menus in the restaurants, particularly in the restaurant gastronomique, were surpressed. We really like the dining room there,
but we are not able to eat a course meal in the evening.
Belle-île-en-Mer is one of those destinations that helps you to re connect with nature. Beautiful, not overrun most of the year and rapidly accessible (most of the year as well). The Castel Clara is positioned in a privileged area and everything about the place contributes to a high level of wellbeing, the estate, the staff and the amenities are all great, we had a very happy and relaxing stay.
Thanks
