Il y a bien un 7 Eleven pour les courses mais aucun restaurant dans le coin. Had adequate air conditioning. Staff was extremely gracious and helpful. Hotel is in a good location, right next to Bo Bae Tower, a landmark that every taxi and tuk tuk knows, which was very helpful. Not too far from most tourist sites, but in a quiet, local thai neighborhood right on the canals. We arrived at 5:15pm to find out the whole neighborhood closed at 5pm. The hosts were slightly apologetic. Should have recognized the taxi driver's chuckle as a warning. Asked the front desk for direction on where to get something for dinner and all he had was 7-11... which is where we ended up eating dinner after wandering for an hour and a half and finding nothing else open. Room smelled kind of like a litter box. A very clean Bangkok hotel for the price, with friendly staff on reception. The fact that it's right on the river is a huge plus, as any attractions can be reached for a fraction of the cost of a taxi. 5 minutes from MBK by water taxi for 10 bhat!!! Very clean rooms, and informative staff make this a great alternative to the busier Khao San Road area(although this can be reached in 20 minutes on foot) My only slight problem, was the lack of food available after about 6PM, but this is not major as there are options within either a short taxi ride, or slightly longer on foot.
