The staff is extremely accommodating and efficient. They have an on-site tour booking agent (yes you'll get the stops at various shops) but they're not high pressure like a lot of tour stops. The pool is amazing situated overlooking the city. The location of the hotel is near lots of malls walkable , BTS or taxi. Shama Sukhumvit Bangkok was the perfect place to recover. Rooms were spacious and clean. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils for basic cooking. Nice sitting area for family. Located in a good area of Bangkok that we like. The room was spacious and the bathroom was very large, which was a big plus. The location is excellent — right in the heart of Bangkok. If you head one way, you’re in the middle of the busy, lively part of the city, and if you go the other way, it’s a more upmarket, quieter area. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The only downside was housekeeping, as towels were not always replaced and the mirrors weren’t cleaned properly. That said, whenever we raised anything with reception, they were happy to help, and we were out most of the day anyway. Location is right at soi 2 and yes it’s where the go go bars are. So u will need a higher floor to stay away from the noise. Not the best if u have young kids who are not familiar with the Thai night life culture. There were women and ladyboys at loitering at the rear of the hotel. But the security was prompt at keeping them out of the property. Veranda is dirty - lots of dusty and dirty place 3\.
