After complaining we got a new room. The new room smelled also but not as much. They only cleaned if you asked. And one day no one was at the reception so we could ask to clean. So nobody clenaned the room. The next day we check out, and had to pay 500baht for one towel that was dirty ( didn’t get new towels the day before). Pool and playroom you could only use until 6 a clock in the evening. A lot of noise from the street outside in the night. It is a noisy tourist neighbourhood catering to the sleaze trade and homesick travellers who want to eat and drink non-Thai food. Given that the service was very nice, helpful and even upgraded us the first stay. The bed was comfortable and the air-conditioning new and quiet (a factor in Southeast Asia. The room was a bit grubby with unappetizing mold in the shower stall. The wifi didn't work on the second stay.
