With views over woods and open fields it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The picturesque fishing village of Portsoy, with its quaint harbour, sandy beach, shop, pub and coffee shops, is within walking distance. The many interests of the Moray Firth include, the beaches, picturesque fishing villages of the Moray and Buchan coastline. The mill has been tastefully converted to provide 3 downstairs bedrooms and bathroom, a large upstairs lounge/dining room and a kitchen. Relax in front of the wood-burning stove, sit outside with a glass of wine and read a book or just enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Take a trip to visit the many historic castles and gardens - from the spectacular ruined Findlater Castle to Duff House in Banff. Such a characterful cottage. All very clean and comfortable - lovely to come ‘home’ to every day. The kitchen is well equipped with all that you could need. A plentiful supply of dry wood for the log burner was very much appreciated for cosy evenings. The bedroom we used was lovely with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Not a complaint, but the only thing that we think could maybe be improved upon is the bathroom. We were very lucky with the weather for the time of year and were able, sometimes, to open the patio doors and sit outside in the sunshine with a glass of wine late afternoon.
