Nuwara Eliya
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (73 reviews)
"Its a property about 7 km away from town. Its a beautifully built property . As i understand it has 6 rooms, and a pool table in the loft. Great staff. There is no lift but its not an issue. There are small things they need to see to. Like salt and pepper shakers ( rather than sticking your fingers into the salt/pepper jar. ) there are no tissues in the room/bathroom. No hand washers - but lovely towels. The scenery from the small restaurant is amazing. This is place i may stay at again"

"Stayed here for one night after climbing Adam’s Peak and it was perfect for the rest and sleep that was needed. The property was clean, including the room which had a big, comfy bed and hot water. Food was excellent - we asked to meet with the chef so we could thank him personally as it was that good. All food was cooked fresh. We left early the next...

The Wind Castle

The Wind Castle
3.5 star property
Nuwara Eliya
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (6 reviews)
"Positives: - The staff were lovely (as everywhere in Sri Lanka) - Breakfast was generous, reasonably priced and good - Great view - Hot shower Negatives - This is a 2-2.5 star property at best - looks good from afar but needs serious renovation - Rough finishings, tired furnishings, musty smell throughout, very sparse (our large family room was mostly empty floor space) - Felt like an abandoned castle in the middle of nowhere - zero atmosphere"
