Top Bambous Hotel Reviews

The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa, Mauritius

10/10 Excellent

"Nice property with beautiful views. Very good restaurants, nice breakfast buffet with broad range of products. Friendly and helpful staff."

Le Jadis Beach Resort & Wellness - Managed by Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts

8/10 Good

"The room was very clean, decent amenities including a bar service, coffee, tea. The Air conditioning worked perfectly. However the toilet bowl could be better sanitized with disinfectant, some towels were still damp but enough were provided including for the beach. The food was fair with a good breakfast buffet. Beach access and amenities were excellent. The staff were helpful but there were many trainees and few seasoned staff. Overall it was a very comfortable stay. The promised bottle of wine per night never materialized."

Le Suffren Hotel & Marina

8/10 Good

"No lift so be prepared to lug your bags up and down stairs. Very slow room service."

Tamassa Bel Ombre

10/10 Excellent

"The property is very nice, beautiful pools, gardens and beach. Staff is very helpful, but often slow (e.g. we waited 45 min for our luggage). The rooms could really use an update and they should work more on the cleanliness in the rooms (hate seeing hair on the floor or bed). The kids club is amazing, as well as the game village in the garden, could be there for days. Breakfast is OK."

Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort

10/10 Excellent

"A spectacular resort with very friendly staff great facilities and great food only one small adverse experience at the grill where a staff member was a very terse other than that everything was perfection. The golf courses are unbelievably good as anything you'll find anywhere!Ginja Resurant was amazing!"

Hotel Riu Palace Mauritius - All Inclusive - Adults Only

"All was good however a heated pool be nice & better options for vegetarians x"

When is the best time to go to Bambous?

The best time to go to Bambous, and indeed Mauritius as a whole, is during the dry season, which runs from May to December. This period avoids the high humidity and heavy rainfall of the summer months (January to April), offering more consistently clear skies and pleasant temperatures. The sea temperatures are warm, and the winds are generally calmer, making it ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and diving. It's also a popular time for sailing and deep-sea fishing. If you're interested in hiking and exploring the national parks, such as the Black River Gorges National Park which is relatively close to Bambous, then May to August is an excellent choice. The cooler temperatures make walking more enjoyable, and the landscape is lush after the summer rains.
