"Wonderfully located -- close to everything but just far enough away to be calm and quiet. After exploring Stirling, we took the train for a day trip to Glasgow, just 45 mins away. Very easy and just a 10-15 min walk to the station. Beds were VERY comfortable, good closet space and dresser. The second bedroom has very low head clearance, not for the claustrophobic. "The property all on ground floor which was great close to the hospital. It was local to where we were meeting relatives for a long weekend away. Very clean and well heated and wifi was ok. Only negatives were we couldnt find a toaster or a wire grill to toast in oven and after contacting host re hairdryer was told in was broken. Luckily I washed by hair the day we travelled and its just about ok 3 days later. Would have took mine if known but itinery specified one."

"Wonderful property for my wife and I - only forty mins from Edinburgh by train and easy to drive to Glencoe and the Lochs Superb accommodation exactly as described and everything worked as it should - even provided an hdmi cable in main tv to link to iPad which is a nice little touch. "This property is a dump!! When we arrived it had not been cleaned from the previous rental. It is in a run down neighborhood in a run down building with many steps from the street to the unit. The bathroom was in poor condition aside from the cleanliness issue. Find something else, you have been warned!!"

The heating wasn't working properly, the upstairs toilet ran constantly, there was one threadbare bath towel per person and many other problems. We had booked for one week and left after one night. The host was very responsive and refunded our money without any problems. We have stayed in VRBO properties all over the world, but this was our first bad experience."

"I had such a lovely stay at The Bothy. On arrival it is obvious how much care goes into to the cottage to ensure your stay is as welcoming as possible. There was supply of tea, coffee and milk amongst other items. Also supplied was a great deal of information on the local area, details on eateries including cafes and pubs and menus for local takeaways. The cottage is in a perfect for one to two people want to explore the Scottish countryside and is also close to Stirling and other smaller towns...
