First impression was a but odd pulling up, as the rental is located directly behind another house on the property. However, once we got past that, the location turned out to be fantastic-very close to downtown, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and the botanical gardens.The home is as pictured in terms of fixtures and furnishings. Our beds were crisply made, the bathrooms were clean, and there were a good number of towels on hand. We all slept very well despite some horrible jet lag. My only minor complaint was that there was a bit of dust, some spiders/spider webs in the windowsills, and a few dirty baseboards.Jessica, the host, was incredibly responsive. We needed to stay an extra night due to a cancelled flight and she quickly obliged, which we were grateful for. All in all, it’s a comfortable stay in Ballarat.
