If the word "WOW" is what you are after, you won't be disappointed. A fully self contained residence nestled in a magnificent treed garden this unique property that can accommodate up to 6 people and is so beautifully appointed you wont want to leave. Only minutes from CBD. A peaceful well appointed home that relaxes you from the moment you step in the door. On arrival at the property electric gates welcome you to the property and allow entry. Stonehenge Retreat is perfect for families, couples, wedding parties, anniversaries or a private weekend getaway. There are two open lofts upstairs, two queen size beds, downstairs are two single beds, a day bed along with a couch that converts to a sofa bed. The property offers semi ensuite and a bathroom in our exquisite loft style accommodation. Central Ballarat Location Located only 3km's north of the city centre and Lake Wendouree Stonehenge Retreat offers the feel of privacy and seclusion with the convenience of close proximity to the CBD and all the attractions Ballarat has on offer. Amenities Open plan dining/lounge with genuine wood fireplace (we supply a small amount of wood to get your started between April-Oct), supplemented by gas heating. Along with a split system for cooling for instant comfort. A great kitchen with splendid bench tops, microwave and electric stainless steel oven. A semi ensuite services the upstairs main bedroom along with a separate shower & bath downstairs including the separate European laundry with washing machine. A kitchen equipped with basic provisions (tea, sugar, oil, herbs, salt and pepper). High quality crockery, glassware, linen and towels. Children are catered for with cubby in the rear yard along with lots of nooks to play. Communication with the property manager was prompt. We did have some problems with the lock and had to use the rear door to gain access to the property. We had a mother-daughter weekend here. Very clean and well maintained. The house and gardens were beautiful. The open fire was awesome. We were very warm and cosy. The house is well hidden from other houses and felt very private. The decor was lovely. The only thing we missed is we like to watch a movie at night and it didn't have the facilities to offer this. Beautiful, private gardens and secluded location. 7 people stayed, with 1 person needing the sofa bed. Unfortunately the sofa bed was unusable as it was broken on one corner and a bar across shoulder blades isn't pleasant to sleep on. I realise that the house had been booked out immediately prior to us however the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils wasn't fantastic and additional bathroom supplies were lacking. I wouldn't say it is a family friendly home as there is no privacy within the house and no blind on the upstairs toilet, accompanied by broken louvred doors meant there was really only one private toilet to use. I would recommend this home for a couple, or a group of friends without children as there is no quiet room in the home if children need sleep. Outside was gorgeous but the BBQ was dirty and the outdoor furniture had cobwebs all over them, which is a shame as we were looking forward to enjoying a BBQ. We were a bit disappointed with the finer details, hence the lower review.
