Ballarat
This would have to be the best price value for money in Ballarat. close to everything and very comfortable. Parking onsite is fantastic and the spa is a very nice bonus.
Close to central Ballarat, with a short stroll to the station, & close to restaurants & cafes.
In the charming part of Lydiard Street North’s heritage homes.
A minor issue in the bathroom, with water running continuously in the cistern, needs some attention.

could do better
second time staying at the PSA. It was five minutes walk from my daughter's house, so super convenient. However, this time around I stayed in apartment 4. There was no number on the door. as stated it was an apartment with a large spa. The luggage rack was dirty and very dusty. I did message the owner about it, together with the other "complaint", which was that there was no light bulb in the standard lamp beside the couch, where I was looking forward to sitting to read my book. I discovered that it was not possible to plug in the lamp as the plug was not compatible with Australia. All the electrical points are situated on the skirting boards at floor level, which made it impossible to plug in my devices to recharge them. The lid of the electric jug in the kitchen was broken and made it difficult to fill the kettle for a cup of tea.
I would have liked to be able to choose between a shower or a bath, but there was no shower. It guess the spa was a selling point, but not for me. I had hoped that there would be a shower as clambering in and out was a little awkward. I think I have said enough, but I will not be returning to the BSA. The laminated rules schedule was not welcoming and fortunately I did not wet the bed or outstay my welcome by 15 minutes.
