Wonderful staff, lovely rooms, stunning beach and pool. Paradise setting. Extensive buffet and choice of restaurants, but make sure you book tables for your stay, as soon as you arrive.

It was a horrible stay. We took all inclusive package but nothing was as directed by hotels.con description. Even the water was charged leave apart the drinks. The food was served cold. Zero service. Very limited good to eat.

Wouldn’t recommend. This hotel has an awful lot of rules which quickly became an irritant for us. They open up to a lot of “day visitors” which spoils things for the staying guests; the pool becomes incredibly busy, particularly at weekends when it is descended upon by a lot of families with young children and groups of teenagers. The main diner also turns into a chaotic free-for-all. The dining “experience” was a particular let down. Flies all over the food, terrible service from staff, you have to find for your own table otherwise you’ll never eat, we had to set our own table by hunting down clean cutlery and glasses and had no alternative but to drink water that we had in our bags from the minibar. Only one small toilet services two large restaurants, an entire pool area and a large pool bar which means it regularly turns into a disgusting crime scene. Biggest gripe has to be the staff - unprofessional and poorly trained. The waiting stuff were particularly bad and on the occasions that we actually did get waited on they would be rude and incompetent. Avoid!

If you’re coming to Mauritius, then you MUST choose Maritim Resort & Spa!! Very nice and friendly staff, very clean resort, a lot of activities and things to do inside the resort that you dont even need to go out. The food is nice, but I personally didn’t find a lot of food options (room service). Also the resort location makes it a perfect destination during the winter as well. We came on a Honeymoon, and its also perfect for families. We had a wonderful experience and we’re surely coming back!

Beautiful location but terrible food
Beautiful hotel with a perfect beach. I loved the marine sports that were available for the guests. However, the food absolutely appalling. Every single dish that we ordered at the hotel was either terrible or very small for the price. The food was also outdated and not fresh. You can taste the cereal was damp and the soy and milk was old.

like-location dislike- scale of charges for rooms - basic room without meals ok, rooms with breakfast an additional 40 euros per head - 40 euros per head is outrages, evening meals in some cases equal to the cost of the basic room day rate, quite a rip off.

Spacious hotel with lots of water sports activities. I stayed 7 nights at the hotel and here is what I liked: big pool, big beach access with sun beds, big green space! nice spa and cool water activities What I didn’t like: the breakfast never changed throughout the visit, the receptionists weren’t so friendly, the service was average. You could wait forever at the table or on the sunbed and manybe no one would show up. The night life was bad. Same band, the room cleanliness wasn’t good.

Lovely facilities with a beautiful beach right on the doorstep. Food was inconsistent, some nights it was brilliant others it was quite average and for the money we paid to stay there you expect 10/10 every night. The thing that lets this hotel down is the service from the staff. Again a lot of inconsistencies. More often than not you wait a while to be served or even seated for dinner. I’d say most of the staff look like they dislike working there from looks on their faces.. overall a really good hotel that needs a few tweaks to the service and needs to be more consistent

The doorman was not at all welcoming when we entered he took our ID cards and we waited for thirty minutes before being approached by a member of reception The fruit basket in the suite was totally inappropriate for a tropical hotel The TV screen was so small the hotel gave the impression of desperately being in need of refurbishment The Dinner buffet was really very very poor and the breakfast buffet only just passed e.g. tea station...no teapots and so it goes on The Front of house staff were indeed friendly and hospitable but they are obviously not being trained or supported by the management...I would never go there again From a professional hospitality consultant

Rude front desk
Beautiful hotel with amazing onsite amenities. Staff day to day were wonderful, but front desk staff was inexplicably rude and unhelpful. Even at checkout, they couldn’t process a simple activity cancellation due to weather the day prior without a 30 minute wait and calling in someone competent from another department.

Amazing resort

A Very Nice Hotel
I stayed here on a business trip , which meant I didn't really get a chance to sample all the facilities... and there are plenty such as a Golf Course. The check in was very quick and I was offered a welcome drink. The room was big with a sea view . The Free Internet was very good in the room and restaurants/pool area. Luxurious sunbeds. I was on a half board basis and only ate in the buffet restaurant, but the food was really good every day. I have been to Mauritius a few times and this hotel is on the West Coast , I think I prefer the East coast as I didnt see the beautiful turquoise colours in the sea on my trip, although that may have been related to the cyclone that had just passed over the Island.

Hardly a luxury resort
We had a very uneasy stay here. While some staff was wonderful, most were very quick to 'pass the buck' and always send us somewhere else. Housekeeping was very poor, not even doing basic things like replacing towels and emptying trash cans. The beach is rocky - not the "white sand" advertised on its site. Food is mediocre at best. The stable staff is amazing, but the grounds are not well cared for. All in all, not what I'd expect from a luxury property.

Our second stay at Maritim Resort & Spa. Two years ago we had an amazing relaxing time. On this occasion my daughter had her Civil Wedding Ceremony at the hotel. The staff were so organised, friendly and everything was just superb, beautiful on my daughter's special day. A dream comes true. Loved everything at Le Maritim. Our favourite is The Spa... Hotel, Beach, Pool, Food, Staff, Spa, services were great. We would recommend this hotel 100%. Already looking forward to our next stay there! Go All Inclusive and enjoy the time of your life.

Nice hotel
Nice hotel but sadly was cold for me as I visited in their winter season - not through choice as I was attending a wedding. Pools were too cold - would have been more comfortable if hotel had offered a choice of a heated pool. Room was as advertised - quite comfotable. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Great hotel on the beach
My wife and I spent a week in this hotel and it was woderfull! I would recommend all inclusive option if you do not plan to explore the island. We chose the half board option since we spent a few days/afternoons exploring the island and the famous beaches. We took a rental car for the whole week and it was a good choice since the airport is almost 1h away and transfer charges are significant. The roads are OK and it is easy to drive arround. If you plan to stay in the resort which is wonderful and has many activities to choose from including a golf course, then choose the All inclusive option especially if you want to have a few drinks during the day or at dinner

They will try squeeze all your cash out of you
Decent hotel - maybe time to redo and refresh rooms . Our room was very close to the path from the beach - no curtains/blinds provided , so we had to keep the shutters closed all the time. A problem arose with the hotel trying to charge as much as possible for every possible extra , to the extent that this resulted in constant arguments , but clearly the staff are told that revenue is more important than customer satisfaction . Food was good

Pleasant Hotel with Character and Perfect Location
We have stayed at the hotel on several occasions when we have had meetings in Southampton. Lyndhurst is an easy commute and it makes a nice change it get out of the urban environment to somewhere a bit more relaxing. The hotel does the basic things well. The rooms are quite small and a little dated but they have character as does the rest of the hotel. The reception rooms are pleasant and parking is very good. The greatest strength of the hotel for us is the convenience for the many restaurants within 5 minutes walk.

An Outstanding Vacation
A beautiful hotel right on the beach. The staff provided excellent service, often without asking. Lovely beach, good food. Marvelous spa. The home made rums were fun and some of them delicious. Mauritius is altogether a wonderful place. The hawkers on the beach were polite and not overpowering. Each one has a license, and they had some interesting items at reasonable prices, Mark Twain said, God made Mauritius, and then he modeled heaven after it.
