A lovely cottage in a beautiful little village. A very good location for exploring the Peak District. The cottage is well equipped with pretty much everything you might need for a stay. There are two great pubs and a village store within a 5-10 minute walk. Bakewell is also nearby.

Family get away

We’ve just returned from a weekend staying ant Corner Cottage and I can’t recommend this place enough. Fantastic location, very comfy, clean and bigger on the inside! Mark the host is amazing and very helpful! Will definitely return.

Comfortable cottage in a great location

Our host was great and quick to get things sorted out when we had an issue with the boiler. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. Perfect location for what we had planned with everything we needed in walking distance.

Corner cottage

Cannot fault this old cottage, perfect location for great walks from door, 2 pubs on doorstep. Really comfy beds, extremely well equipped, roomy for large numbers. Added bonus of netflix and skyq, lovely welcome gift too...300 year old cottage, would definately return.

Comfortable and cosy

Lovely comfortable cottage in a great village that can access walks direct from the village. It’s got all the facilities you need for a weekend away. Two great pubs, one lovely pub grub with good atmosphere the other great dining and very attractive. A tea room for your morning Coffee and a small shop for essentials.

Wonderful cottage

We have just returned home after a wonderful stay at corner cottage. It is the perfect place to stay, spotlessly clean the photos don’t do it justice, it’s much bigger than we thought it would be, and central to Buxton . Nice little touches for our welcome. Would not hesitate to return on our next trip to Derbyshire Thankyou Mark

Fantastic house in a fantastic location

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. The location was perfect. We had lovely food in the village pubs. Mark was also amazing. I had a lovely chat with him and he gave me some great sightseeing tips. Would highly recommend.

Lovely cottage and brilliant location

Cottage was well presented, clean and tidy. Kitchen was well stocked for all your cooking needs. Owner was contactable, very friendly and helpful. Cottage location is brilliant for lots of local walks without having to drive..and the local pub us only 2 minutes walk and the staff and food are excellent

Yearly Get Together

Property was exactly as described although bigger than expected… exactly suitable for our requirements. The cottage is centrally located with 2 pubs, hotel & coffee shop to eat in. Also we’re able to get the hop on hop off bus from the village and Bakewell is about a 39 minute walk away.

Excellent long weekend at Corner Cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Corner Cottage which was very clean and well presented. The location is excellent with Bakewell just a short walk away, with a lovely river walk. There are two pubs within a five minute walk. Mark was extremely helpful prior to check in providing lots of details about the property and surronding area. He also, very kindly, left us a welcome gift.

Absolute gem

We had a wonderful stay at corner cottage and would definitely return! The cottage is lovely and cosy, full of everything you need, and has a wonderful picturesque location with two fantastic pubs and a village shop. Speaking with the owner ahead of our arrival, he provided us with a wealth of info about the cottage, as well as the local area and places to visit. It was our first visit to the Peak District but certainly won’t be the last! Thanks for a wonderful weekend stay.

Super spot!

Just perfect for my pre-Christmas get together with my kids and their partners. Beautiful location, very peaceful but very handy for Bakewell and some gentle walking in and around the village. Parking wasn't an issue and the house itself is very quirky (mind your head!) but nicely laid out and equipped. The lights and Christmas trees were a nice bonus in our particular trip too. Many thanks 👍

Christmas holiday

6 adults (2 at 20) & dogs , one little & one medium . The cottage was better than expected , the pictures online are good but it’s even better when you are there . Really nice village & the local pub was great , we went twice and ate one night , food was delicious. It takes just 5 mins walk to the pub . Right next to a park and the river 3 mins walk .

Perfect location and very helpful host

We stayed for a long weekend at corner cottage and thoroughly enjoyed it. Mark the owner was very helpful and friendly, providing lots of details about the property and surrounding area prior to our stay. We were able to check in early and check out later which was brilliant and made for a very relaxing weekend. The cottage is perfectly situated in the picturesque village, on a quiet street overlooking the park. It’s equipped with everything you need and we appreciated the welcome gift. My children loved having their own ‘wing’ as the twin bedroom is along a little corridor. The other bedrooms were a great size and we appreciated having 3 bathrooms as a multigenerational family. The dining room was perfect for eating together. We enjoyed a walk from the cottage up to Monsall head and wandering across the park to the pub in the evenings. The food at the pub was good. Chatsworth was only a short drive away and as the weather was brilliant we booked in to Hathersage Lido and had a very scenic drive up for a swim. All in all a great stay and we would return.

We had the most amazing stay at the Corner Cottage. It was simply beautiful and charming. It is designed to be a home away from home. Each room was decorated tastefully and very comfortable. The host was terrific and responded quickly to all of our questions. Location is a short walk away from the Bulls Head and the Ashford Arms. Minutes away from Bakewell and perfect for exploring the trails. A terrific cottage for a small group of friends for a long weekend.

Everything spot on ! Cottage was pretty, sweet and exactly like the photos ! Beautiful decoration even fresh flowers around and everything provided that you need for your stay - nice touch of wine and biscuits xAll bedrooms and bathrooms spotless. So pretty. So easy to check in and host great to communicate with. Location is great for walking into Bakewell and the surrounding area is so picture postcard ! Best recommendation I can give is that all of us staying have said we will go back !

Fabulous location

It was such a treat to be able to walk to the pub and also just to head off for walks from the cottage. Really enjoyed our stay - highly recommend.
