Extraordinarily gracious host and staff. Property is eclectic and wonderful. Rooms are large, comfortable, and well appointed. Breakfast was sumptuous and generous. This stay was the highlight of our trip. This place is magical and should not be missed.

Corte della Maestà is the most incredible and unique place in Italy where we have stayed. Absolutely amazing gardens, stellar first class accommodations in a 1200 year old building. It’s the home of Paulo and Christiana, our gracious and generous hosts. If you have the opportunity and it’s available, you will never regret your stay with them in luxury suites!
AMAZING property/experience/design/breakfast/stay. What an incredible, once in a lifetime type experience. Can’t say enough about the town, the design of the hotel, the gracious service, the divine breakfast. Thank you to Cristiana and the amazing team. Wow.
This was one of the most memorable, unique properties one could possibly stay. Beautiful inside and out, and that goes for the owner/hosts as well. Christiana was responsive to every request for information. The parking instructions and help with baggage from the car to our room was smooth. The walk to the "B&B" requires some stamina but couldn't be more scenic. If there was future dream to stay again at a place we've stayed, it would be here. We had an ideal 2 week vacation in Italy, and spent our last night here, which was the highlight of a great trip.
This property is located within a medieval village and is over 1300 years old. If you have ever wondered what it might be like to live as a King - this is your chance! The room we stayed in is home to the oldest Fresco in Civita di Bagnoregio. The rooms are filled with antiques and amazing art. Our room had everything from bathrobes to teas and snacks. And the breakfasts were 5 star! The walk into the village was spectacular. We cannot say enough about 5 Star host Christiana and her fabulous staff. We felt like family and we cried when we left. Do NOT miss this opportunity if you are lucky enough to have the chance to visit!
This stay left us speechless. The property is stunning, from the entrance to the kitchen and sitting areas, to the bedroom and bath, and the outdoor garden areas. The host is so kind and hospitable. The place smells lovely from the logs crackling in the fireplace and the incense sticks. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The breakfast was beautiful, set up in the downstairs room for us with the fireplace burning. Fresh fruits, orange juice, pies, pastries, croissants, jams, bread, mozzarella, tomatoes, yogurt - it was far more food than 2 people could ever eat but the display was impressive. Overall this was a highlight of our trip to Italy and the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Will abdolutely stay again when we return to Civita!
Super unique and awesome experience staying here! The entire property and attention to detail is really special. Full breakfast in the garden. Very unique staying in this town overnight as all the tours leave and you are left nearly alone. Would highly recommend to everyone
Civita after the tourists have left is truly amazing, and Corte della Maestra is just magical. Cristiana is an incredible host - she makes you feel like an old friend coming home. And what a home it is! Neither words nor photos will ever do this place justice, you just have to experience it. It’s full of history, art, design, and love, and it’s unlike anywhere else you’ll ever experience. The breakfast is decadent (eggs! cheese! fruit! more fruit! pastries! cake! pie!) and set in the most beautiful garden I’ve ever seen. I could go on and on, but mostly I’m just sad I ever had to leave.
Court of Majesty was the most incredible place I’ve ever stayed and should be studied as an example of incredible hospitality for all other hotels and B&Bs! Every detail of the experience was so tenderly and perfectly designed. As a design and experience lover, I was in awe at the gorgeous landscaping in the gardens, the maximalism of the incredible kitchen, and each detail in the room itself. The experience of staying at Court of Majesty feels like you’re living in a film combined with being treated like royalty. From our initial greeting from Cristiana to the tour of the property, meeting Cristiana’s sweet and silly dogs, to our incredible handcrafted breakfast feast—everything was beyond perfect! I think every human deserves to stay for at least a night at this gorgeous place and I hope I have the luxurious privilege to come back someday. For now, my night at the Court of Majesty will live in my memories as one of the greatest days of my life.
I write to you from the kitchen where the fire is crackling in the fireplace and the owner Christiana is sitting with a view of the fabulous garden just past her. After many trips to Italy, I finally timed it so we could stay in this amazing village that dates before Christ. Our B&B Corte della Maesta was once the home of the Archbishop of Spain somewhere around 1400-1600 A.D. It was remodeled into a fabulous 4-room B&B about 9 years ago. ——When you arrive in Civita di Bognoregio, you will park under the bridge and Christiana will send a motor cart to collect your luggage...but not you. You will have to walk the bridge to the village, which I think adds to the experience.—— Spend two nights. One is not enough. Be sure to see the geology museum, where you can learn about the area quickly. Alma is a great restaurant for dinner. Have Christiana book it for you. —— The village gets very busy with tourists during the day. I suggest you get up at sunrise and walk the village and experience the essence of it, especially if you catch the sunrise over the valley below.
Words cannot describe this hotel experience. From the moment you enter the little garden through the mint green gates, you enter a different world - a world of ancient stories, outstanding hospitality, and endless relaxation. Not much more to say... for you to truly experience what it is like, you have to try it on your own body. You won’t be disappointed.
We loved our single night in Corte della Maestà Antiche Residenze. So peaceful and quiet. Our suitcase was collected from our car and taken over the footbridge and arrived ahead of us. By the time we had enjoyed a leisurely walk to the Civita, taking in all the sights, we were greeted by our host Christiana. Christiana is a lovely lady and very welcoming. It was most kind too to book us a table for dinner.
The bird song in the morning was glorious. We enjoyed a good breakfast and we were pleased that we took notes of the Italian cakes on offer; the Torta sbriciolata was delicious.
The hosts could not have been more welcoming.
This is an amazing hotel. Really like a luxury residence. Comfortable rooms, exquisite garden, wonderful elaborate breakfast in a unique mountaintop village.
Only problem is access. One reaches the hotel on foot over a steep bridge. There is no vehicular access.
Not to be missed by the physically able.

The Corte della Maestà Antiche Residenze is a truly amazing place in a very special village. The home and gardens are beautiful and the owners made us feel right at home. We very much enjoyed the attention for detail and the unique collection of artifacts. We definitely hope to return soon and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
This is the most magical place I've ever been, and Cristiana is one of the kindest, most welcoming, warm, and hospitable human beings I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Staying at Corte della Maesta is one of the best investments I've ever made, and is - now - home to some of my most treasured memories. I/we will, without a doubt, be back. What an experience....
This place is changing my fate ever!!! The spectacular mountain scenery with the quiet peaceful night in this Hotel. Although we went there in February this year, my mind often thinks of beautiful scenery. The hotel is extremely clean and tidy with numerous unique collectibles , your eyes never get tired , like a secret garden . We met Cristana , the most most kindness hostess we ever met, guided us the place good to eat , ready a warm and delicious breakfast ; even she stay closed with us and try her best to provided whatever we need. They just made you feel relax like home . I am so lucky that my boyfriend bought me to there , we made promise that we will definitely come back during summer to feel the flower and color all around you . I really miss Cristana and her nice home .
Heaven! I almost didn’t write a review because I want it to never change, which cannot be helped once the secret gets out. However, it is so magical that the owner deserves praise. She is outstanding. She has created a little world of her own and I am so grateful she shared it with us. I travel extensively and have my entire life, this may just be the best place I have ever stayed. Civita di Bagnoregio had been on my bucket list for years and the owner ensured it surpassed my expectations. We never left the property. If I could I would have extended our stay. The moment we left we were planning our next visit. What more is there to say? Grazie mille to our gracious host Christiana and also to Anna for making the most amazing cappuccino and baked goods!
