"this is not an hotel. you have to make your own bed, they do not provide any towel, and there is a note asking you to take out the bedsheets and clean before you leave. It is kind of a camping site composed of cheaply made bungalows, more or less clean, 2 bedrooms + 1 sofa, 6 persons total, furnished, equipped, dishes and pans. "We have been 'Chateau' travelers for 42 years. I cannot count the number of establishments visited. Ch Goujonnerie is 'THE' most charming Chateau we have had the priviledge to stay. It was exceptionally difficult to say goodbye after 5 nights. Isabella, Natalie AND Stephen and Michel were the most charming hosts. We will never forget their care to guests. We look forward to returning again and is a great place for a base camp if you want to visit La Rochell or Il de Re or so many other places...

"This is a great B&B, really well appointed old french farmhouse. We stayed in the smaller room which had a great shower, was quiet and warm. My only small issue is that I would have preferred a bigger bed. Breakfast was great and had a lot of choices. The lady who runs the place looked after us and was very welcoming. "
