The food quality was not great, we did go during off season so the outdoor amenities were not in order, however we did manage to swim in the outdoor pool only because we could handle the cooler water

This hotel is part of a large complex of about six hotels. Half of which are closed. It is at the far end and is the smallest and closest to the beach. There is no pool so you have to use the one two hotels further along. There are plenty of sunbeds on local beaches and the terrace. The lobby is very attractive and our room, which had a large balcony, was comfortable, clean and well appointed. The food is plentiful but uninspiring - not dissimilar to motorway service area standard. The hot food is generally tepid, but soups and salad were good. The reception and room cleaning staff were friendly and helpful, but the majorly of the restaurant staff were surly and unsmiling. The vast majorly of guests were Romanians and Bulgarians, with a small number of Germans. However, most staff speak some English and all the signage is in English. Overall we enjoyed our stay but the hotel is certainly not 4* standard and is overpriced.

There were problems from the beginning.Nobody to help with the luggage.Rude staff,especially the manager of the hotel.I made reservation for Amelia superior,which is four stars.The food in Amelia restaurant is one star.Awful.The room is good,spacious,but not verry clean.For all our stay they did not clean our shower cabin.I bought a bath cleaner and clean it myself.After we made a complaint,they moved our breakfast and dinner in four stars restaurant Flamingo grand.And suddenly after our conversation with Albena’s sales director,everybody become verry kind. This is not my concept of vacation,trying to fix all the problems.

The staff was courteous. We were in room 11A. The rug in the living space was visibly dirty and the lamps were like cheap IKEA fixtures. The tables were blocks of concrete with flimsily attached tops. Couch was too low for comfort. Curtains would not close. Otherwise, great views, nice restaurant, good location. For Bulgaria, it was a nice property.
